Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Promote and introduce the GBV services to target groups.
∎ Plan and conduct GBV awareness sessions for beneficiaries at the target upazilas and unions, and outreach field level.
∎ Conduct awareness raising to encourage help-seeking behavior of GBV survivors
∎ Disseminate action-oriented, specific, inclusive, and supportive messaging on available services for GBV survivor
∎ Make referrals for health care, free legal aid and multidisciplinary range of services
∎ Follow GBV guiding principles of respect, confidentiality, and safety/security and non- discrimination while providing services.
∎ In consultations with women and youth, develop and support to implement a series of age-appropriate and group emotional and social support activities for women and youth, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of survivors of GBV and strengthening support networks among women and youth.
∎ Identify awareness-raising opportunities, whether at a community level or other safe space. Plan the sessions to include women, youth and men.
∎ Organize focus group discussions on relevant information when needed.
∎ Engage men and boys within the GBV Program and promote Gender Equality.
∎ Contribute and regularly update service providers’ service mapping within the intervention area to ensure that the team members know all relevant and available services.
∎ Ensure all documentations on reported cases and referrals made are updated, accurate, organized and well maintained by social workers.
∎ Work with CSOs, stakeholders and local government to develop and strengthen referral networks and monitor the implementation of the referral pathway to improve survivors access to confidential, safe GBV services in a timely manner to meet their needs
∎ Attending requested training and meetings when available or requested in coordination with the Team Leader and/or Area Manager.
∎ Prepare and promptly submit reports and documentation for activities and report directly to the Area Manager.
∎ Plan, monitor, and follow up on the work of outreach volunteers on the field.
∎ Support and involve members of Women/Youth led CBOs, Mohila Mukti Sanghee and Youth Clubs in project actions to promote women’s rights and combat GBV.
∎ File and store GBV data in the information management systems in compliance with the information sharing protocol developed.

∎ Responsibilities & Context
∎ The Social Worker for the Parayan Project is responsible for the provision of direct management services for individuals with GBV vulnerabilities, and will oversee and manage the implementation of individual and group psychological support sessions. The Social Worker will work as part of a protection team that seeks to prevent, monitor, and respond to issues that affect the safety, dignity, and participation of women and youth. The incumbent will be responsible for carrying out project activities and guaranteeing timely internal and external referrals to relevant services and follow-up of cases. The social worker’s role is to implement GBV curricula for beneficiaries. The social worker is responsible for planning and coordinating with the supervisor to reach the target population by providing awareness-raising sessions on women’s rights, gender-based violence etc in the targeted areas.
