∎ Must be fluent in Bangla and Computer literacy skills. English will be added an advantages.
∎ Experience of working with disadvantaged & traumatized children independently with skilled teams.
∎ Experience of advocacy with government, networking and mobilization of local communities, local government/elected representatives, service providers and institutions.
∎ Good team building skills.
∎ Disseminate training to external stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The objective of this activity is to develop strong links with parents.
∎ Social Workers will assess the situation of the parents and make recommendation for provision referrals.
∎ This will encourage families to stop sending their children to the streets to work and instead look at options for mainstreaming their children through referrals to government/NGOs.
∎ The persons will also assist the Manager in arranging meetings with DSS, CTCs, CWDs, CBCPCs, Mother’s, Community and Children’s Groups.
∎ He/she will also be responsible for referrals of children, community mobilizations, support to youth victims and reintegration/follow-ups, vocational training, children’s centre-based activities etc.
∎ As per roster the Social Workers will also reside in the shelters during the night to ensure safety and security of the children.

∎ Specific responsibilities:
∎ The persons (2 in Dhaka and 2 in Jamalpur) will be hired as full-time (100%) employees for the entire length of project and will be responsible to provide support for the shelter and non-institutional children in the safe shelter. The Social workers will be particularly responsible for connecting with families of victim/at-risk children.
