Nilörn Bangladesh Ltd., a concern of Nilörn Group, Sweden, is developing its new, sustainable manufacturing facility within the Bangladesh Special Economic Zone (BSEZ). We are inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Site Supervision Engineer, who will play a key role in ensuring that all construction works are executed with quality, safety, and compliance with the design intent.

Job Location: BSEZ (Japanese Economic Zone), Araihazar, Narayanganj

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site activities for civil, structural, and finishing works.
• Verify that all construction activities are performed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality assurance policy, and method statements.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and equipment used at the site to ensure quality standards are met.
• Inspect formwork, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, and finishing works for compliance before approvals.
• Supervise/witness material testing (concrete, steel, soil, etc.) and maintain quality documentation.
• Liaise with the consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and the internal project management team.
• Coordinate site works among different trades (Civil, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire, etc.) to avoid conflicts and delays.
• Ensure timely communication of design clarifications, technical issues, and corrective measures.
• Track daily progress against schedules and targets.
• Prepare and maintain monthly site progress reports and photographs.
• Record RFIs, site measurement sheets, quality check lists, test reports, etc.
• Identify and report potential risks or delays and assist in developing recovery measures.
• Ensure that all works are executed in compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety checklists are maintained.
• Report and follow up on non-compliance issues and accidents, if any.
• Support adherence to BSEZ site regulations and Nilörn’s sustainability and anti-corruption commitments.
• Maintain updated as-built drawings, site instructions, and inspection records.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings and method statements submitted by contractors.
• Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in technical and administrative site matters.
• Ensure document control and record-keeping for audits and project closeout.
