The Site Engineer for steel structure erection is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the installation and erection of steel structure on construction sites. This role involves supervising site activities, ensuring adherence to engineering drawing, maintaining safety and quality standards and ensuring timely completion of erection work.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities related to steel structure erection
• Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications for structural steel erection
• Monitor the fabrication delivery schedules and ensure readiness of materials before erection
• Ensure proper alignment, welding, bolting and connections of steel members
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with project standards, codes and safety regulations
• Liaise with the design team, contractors and clients to resolve technical issues on-site
• Maintain site records, including work progress, inspections and daily reports
• Enforce safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture among the erection crew
• Coordinate crane and equipment operations related to lifting and assembly of steel components
• Assist in planning and sequencing erection activities to optimize time and resource utilization
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on site progress and challenges
