Additional Requirements: Requirements
- 5–7 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO, keyword research, and link-building fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of Google ranking factors, search behaviour, and modern SEO practices.
- Proficiency in SEO tools (GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, etc.).
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality SEO execution.
- Good communication skills (Equivalent to band 7 in IELTS).
Additional Preferences
- Experience with eCommerce, SaaS, or multi-website SEO.
- Basic understanding of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation).
- Familiarity with AI-powered SEO tools and automation workflows.
- Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, or digital marketing.
Responsibilities & Context: About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented SEO Team Lead / SEO Executive to support our organic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, hands-on SEO expertise, and the ability to implement effective optimisation strategies across technical, on-page, and content-focused workstreams. You will be responsible for executing SEO tasks, contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring high-quality optimisation across all digital assets. This role requires solid technical understanding, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic SEO Execution
- Assist in developing and implementing SEO strategies targeting organic growth and improved search performance.
- Support planning across technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and off-page initiatives.
- Conduct competitor analysis, SERP research, and trend monitoring to identify growth avenues.
- Contribute insights to align SEO efforts with overall business objectives.
Technical SEO & Website Optimisation
- Perform detailed SEO audits to identify issues affecting crawlability, indexation, page speed, and overall site health.
- Work with developers to fix technical issues, improve site structure, and ensure implementation of SEO best practices.
- Manage schema markup, internal linking, sitemaps, and canonical optimisation.
- Ensure websites comply with Google’s latest technical requirements and algorithmic guidelines.
Content Strategy & On-Page SEO
- Conduct keyword research, search intent mapping, and topic analysis for content planning.
- Optimise existing content including blogs, landing pages, and product/service pages for ranking improvements.
- Collaborate with writers/content teams to ensure SEO-driven content quality, alignment with E-E-A-T, and brand tone.
- Evaluate SERPs regularly to refine content optimisation strategies.
Team Collaboration & Leadership (Team Lead Level)
- Guide junior SEO members and assist with training and performance monitoring.
- Work closely with designers, developers, content creators, and marketing teams to execute SEO tasks effectively.
- Communicate SEO updates, site performance issues, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track keyword rankings, traffic trends, user behaviour, and site performance metrics.
- Maintain SEO reports and dashboards using analytics tools such as GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Looker Studio, etc.
- Provide regular updates with actionable optimisation insights and recommendations.
