Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Own complete SEO and its associated business goals for Walcart.
∎ Develop and execute both on-page and off-page SEO strategies.
∎ Coordinate with internal Business, Growth, Product, Analytics, and other relevant teams to set SEO targets and create quarterly roadmaps and projections.
∎ Ensure position improvement for target keywords and growth in relevant organic traffic.
∎ Analyze multiple keyword themes and develop SEO strategies to target niche audiences by analyzing keyword gaps, competition benchmarking, and finding relevant upper, mid, and lower funnel keywords.
∎ Recommend and implement SEO changes to the website/APP in terms of content, usability, functionality, and architecture.
∎ Performing periodic technical audits of the website/pages and making short and long-term technical SEO recommendations (CWV, page load, Mobile friendly UI/UX, page speed, etc.)
∎ Prepare detailed keyword tracking and analysis reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
∎ Work closely with the engineering/tech/content teams to ensure SEO practices are up to date and are appropriately implemented. Also, implement standard processes and automation for repeated tasks and improve efficiency at scale.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Solid experience in SEO for an e-commerce/marketplace company. Plus points if you have worked in a similar organization like ours.
∎ Strong technical knowledge of SEO.
∎ Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, etc, and proficient in Excel/Sheets.
∎ Deep understanding of GSC, GA, GTM, and other relevant analytics tools.
∎ Experience using SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMRush, etc.
∎ Strong quantitative & analytical skills.
∎ Comfortable to work with multiple teams (internal & external).
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ Must be well-versed with Google Algorithm updates.
