Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities (Staff Nurse – IPD | Male/Female)

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to admitted patients in the IPD in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards.

• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and other prescribed treatments as directed by the attending physician.

• Monitor patients' vital signs, clinical conditions, and progress, and accurately document all observations and nursing interventions.

• Report any significant changes in a patient's condition to the concerned physician promptly and respond effectively to emergency situations.

• Assist physicians during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.

• Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation, medication records, and patient care reports.

• Educate patients and their attendants regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Maintain infection prevention and control (IPC) standards and comply with all hospital policies, protocols, and nursing procedures.

• Ensure proper use, handling, and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies within the ward.

• Coordinate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

• Perform duties on a roster basis, including day, evening, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts as assigned.

• Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the hospital management from time to time.
