Additional Requirements: Requirements
- 6–10 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategist role.
- Strong expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, keyword research, and on/off-page optimisation.
- Deep understanding of Google algorithms, ranking factors, and search behaviour patterns.
- Strong leadership and communication skills—capable of guiding teams and presenting insights to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with major SEO and analytics tools (GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, etc.).
- Solid experience collaborating with development teams and understanding HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines and drive end-to-end SEO execution.
- Good communication skills (Equivalent to band 7.5 in IELTS).
Additional Preferences
- Experience working in SaaS, eCommerce, or multi-site SEO.
- Knowledge of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) principles.
- Experience with AI-assisted SEO workflows and automation tools.
- Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, or related fields.
Responsibilities & Context: About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior SEO Strategist to lead our search engine optimisation efforts and shape long-term organic growth strategies. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, proactive, and capable of leading teams while communicating complex SEO concepts in an understandable way. You will drive all aspects of SEO—from high-level strategy and planning to execution, optimisation, and performance measurement.
This role requires strong leadership, clear communication skills, and deep expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic SEO Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies focused on organic growth, high-intent traffic, and long-term performance.
- Lead SEO planning across technical, on-page, off-page, and content verticals.
- Analyse industry trends, competitor strategies, algorithm updates, and market shifts to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align SEO initiatives with business goals.
Technical SEO & Website Optimisation
- Conduct advanced technical audits to improve crawlability, indexation, core web vitals, site structure, and performance.
- Work closely with developers to implement SEO best practices and resolve technical issues.
- Lead schema implementation, site architecture improvements, and internal linking strategies.
- Ensure websites meet Google’s latest SEO standards and algorithmic expectations.
Content Strategy & Optimisation
- Oversee keyword research, search intent analysis, and SERP behaviour analysis.
- Guide content teams on SEO-led content planning, topic clusters, and editorial strategy.
- Ensure all content meets quality, E-E-A-T, and brand guidelines.
- Optimise landing pages, blogs, and product pages for higher ranking and engagement.
Team Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor SEO executives, analysts, and content specialists.
- Work closely with developers, designers, product managers, and digital marketers to deliver high-impact SEO initiatives.
- Communicate SEO concepts, forecasts, and performance insights in clear, simplified language to stakeholders.
- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and present actionable insights to management.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Create and manage advanced SEO dashboards and reporting systems.
- Track rankings, traffic, conversions, and technical issues using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Conduct regular reporting meetings, providing insights and strategic recommendations.
