Educational Requirements:
∎ Master degree in statistics, population science, public health, development studies or any other relevant subject with focus in research.
Experience Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Primary Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate and manage the overall process for preparation of documents for ethical review, including research proposal, data collection method and tools, identify appropriate participants, informed consent forms, conduct interviews, prepare transcripts and drafting reports as necessary.
∎ Ensures smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of research and data collection activities; act as the primary administrative point of contact for internal research teams and as the focal person for other research organizations and stakeholders including government agencies and regulating bodies.
∎ Monitor progress of research activities; develop and maintain research documents and record activities,activities, prepare ad hoc reports as required by organization, donor and/or regulatory bodies.
∎ Provide guidance, technical support, coaching and mentoring to research officer and team for capacity building.
∎ Plan and coordinate the initiation of research study protocol, and facilitate establishment of plans, timelines, process and procedures.
∎ Prepares and facilitates grant/ research application process
∎ Regular Responsibilities:
∎ Recruit, instruct, and coordinate research subjects and/or volunteers, as appropriate to specific study objectives and work scope (translators, surveyors etc.)
∎ Facilitate training for staff, volunteers, data enumerators etc. on data collection, data entry and data management as per the research protocol.
∎ Support advocacy initiative with stakeholders at different levels as well as facilitate coordination for the research projects.
∎ Support research officer and team to translate and back-translate study documents, data collection tools, and transcripts between English,Rohingya dialect and Bangla with revisions as necessary.
∎ Support teams in identifying appropriate content, developing messages and disseminating content for awareness raising programs/events/activities as per the program needs.
∎ Strengthen and sustain good relationships and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
∎ Coordinate with other members of the program team and other related stakeholders to ensure that every step of the research/study is completed according to the timeline.
∎ Manage all administrative and financial tasks related to the research projects.
∎ Plans, implements, and maintains data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocol; Coordinate collection and analysis of research data.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the line manager and/or SMT.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have at least 5 years experience in research
∎ Must have at least 3 years of management & coordination experience in humanitarian or development research.
∎ Minimum 1-year FDMN Camp experience will be an advantage.
∎ Must have analytical skills to set up a research, collect, interpret and present the data
∎ Familiarity with community research-based principles.
∎ Experience in working with govt. authorities will be an advantage.
∎ Excellent in written and spoken English
∎ Ability to work independently.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ Ability to lead and manage people
∎ Creative and motivated.
∎ Advanced communication skills for fostering respectful relationships.
∎ Basic knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as experience and knowledge in data analysis related software is essential.
∎ Strong knowledge of local ethnic issues and proven experience engaging local organizations.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and positive approach with colleagues and partners.
∎ Ability to establish good working relationships with stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds.
Salary: Tk. 75000 - 85000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ 13th month bonus.
