Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor/Master's degree in food science, nutrition, social science, business administration, anthropology or a suitable equivalent.

Job Context:
∎ Position Summary:
∎ S/he will be responsible to manage and execute Chattogram sub-office. The Senior Project officer of Workforce Nutrition project under the support from GAIN will be responsible to facilitate to quality implementation of the project activities for the selected factories of Chattogram. S/he will directly work with factory management, workers, research partner, creative agency, government institutions as well as relevant stakeholder who have similar activities for RMG workers. S/he will support in developing annual work plan as project implementation plan (PIP), review its progress against key performance indicators (KPI) and targets. S/he will regularly support to the Finance team for ensuring necessary supports. The Position will report to the Program Manager and maintain functional relationship with the project focal point of GAIN.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide support to project officer who will be deployed in Chattogram
∎ Support to project officer to develop functional relationship and collaboration with the factory management to implement the project activities.
∎ Regular factory visits to support to the factory management to implement and monitor day to day project activities as per annual work plan
∎ Support to project officer to form Nutrition Improvement Committee (NIC) as per project strategy and make them functional.
∎ Based on PIP prepare annual activities plan in considering factory's feasibility.
∎ Support to organize scheduling meeting and capability building event in factory level with factory management
∎ Support to develop PUSHTI BONDHU (Peer educator) for conducting regular nutrition education session as communication channel
∎ Support to factory to introduce and gradually scale up dietary diversity as per recommended menu plan
∎ Support PUSHTI BONDHU (Peer educator) to organize nutrition education session for the workers
∎ Support to distribute communication materials including BCC & IEC to the PUSHTI BONDHU (Peer educator) with proper orientation.
∎ Facilitate factory owners and management to establish or revitalize Fair Price Shop to increase access of safe and nutritious food.
∎ Regular visit to the Fair Price Shop and track sales trend and take necessary action to meet the target
∎ Regular monitor to collect and compile data from factory as per monitoring tools and consolidate
∎ Based on criteria facilitate the process to identify best PUSHTI BONDHU (Peer Educator)
∎ Support to factory management to organize nutrition fair at factory day
∎ Keep communication among the project team and READI's HQ
∎ Reporting as per organization and project requirement
∎ Responsible for documenting experiences, preparing reports, presentations, briefs for factory management and donor.

∎ A dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

∎ Ability to support creative agency, research agencies and government offices.
∎ Ability to work in a multi-cultural, cross functional team with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
∎ Clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates good judgment, expert problem solving, and adoptability.
∎ Negotiation and advocacy skills
∎ Proven experience in monitoring and report writing
∎ Ability to operate within the corporate and public sectors to effectively liaise with private companies, development agencies, and governments in multiple cultures.
∎ Self-motivated and solution oriented
∎ Flexible, willingness to travel in challenging environments.
∎ IT literate with excellent MS Office skills.
∎ Willingness to travel to field (intervention sites) frequently
∎ Experience:
∎ At least 3 years of experience in implementing health and nutrition related project
∎ Experience in RMG sector project implementation is preferable.
∎ Experience in delivering integrated health and nutrition programme is an asset.
∎ Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and matrix structure is critical.
∎ Proven experience in staff and office management
∎ Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
∎ Experience in analysis of data and quality reporting
∎ Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in challenging field situations is essential

Salary:
∎ BDT. 35000.00 (Thirty five thousand only) gross salary plus other admissible benefits as per organization and project policy.
