  • Practical knowledge of monitoring tools and data collection applications for efficient field-level data capture and management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination across programme, MEAL, finance, and operations teams.

  • Proven ability in preparing detailed and accurate reports, including MIS, financial tracking, and progress updates.

  • Competency in data analysis using Excel and other tools to generate insights, trend analysis, and performance dashboards.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability to identify data discrepancies, gaps, and implement corrective measures.

  • Ability to ensure data quality and compliance with organizational standards and donor requirements through systematic validation and verification processes.



Responsibilities & Context:

The Senior Project Officer, MIS will be responsible for a hybrid role that bridges technical data management and strategic project oversight. This position is responsible for ensuring that an organization's data collection, reporting, and information systems effectively support its project goals and decision-making processes. Additional role includes dash board preparation, ensure compliance, trend analysis, cash transfer-based report preparation and budget oversight.

MIS, Data Management, and Reporting

• Ensure regular and consistent updating of programme beneficiary data and assistance delivery information using approved reporting platforms and software.

• Track beneficiary training attendance and prepare Payment Attendance Files to support timely and accurate cash transfers.

• Collect, compile, and prepare monthly MIS reports and contribute to timely submission of monthly progress reports.

• Generate summary statistics, rapid analysis, and data insights from programme databases, M&E datasets, and other data sources to support programme and grants-related data requests.

• Preserve and manage accumulated data to support preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for internal management and external stakeholders.

Data Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Conduct routine quality checks on programme and MEAL-related databases, including beneficiary databases, assistance delivery records, complaints trackers, 5W matrices, and reporting figures.

• Document discrepancies, data gaps, or inconsistencies in a data quality log and coordinate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with organizational data management standards, donor requirements, and internal controls.

Financial Tracking and Project Oversight

• Track procurement requests (PRs), expenditure status, and budget utilization in coordination with finance and logistics teams.

• Monitor project activity implementation, procurement progress, and generate gap analysis reports for submission to the Project Manager.

• Support preparation of cash transfer-based reports and expenditure summaries aligned with approved budgets.

Coordination and Support Functions

• Coordinate with Programme, MEAL, Finance, Operations, HR, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth data flow and reporting accuracy.

• Support dashboard development, trend analysis, and performance monitoring to inform programme adjustments and strategic planning.

• Perform any other relevant responsibilities assigned by line management in line with programme needs.

Safeguarding and Staff Wellbeing

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
