Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's in preferably psychology, anthropology, disaster management, social sciences, gender studies including others under social science arena or combination of significant humanitarian experience in a related area is equally considered.

Job Context:

∎ Project: Humanitarian Response Project, funded by UNFPA
∎ Duration of contract: Up to December 2020
∎ The position requires clear understanding on GBV (Gender Based Violence) issues in country and international aspect, experience on rights-based approach, partnership management and ability to analyze social and legal aspect for VAW (Violence Against Women), existing laws and policies and international instruments with training facilitation skill. S/he must have a clear understanding on dimension of underlying causes of VAW ie patriarchy, masculinity, sexuality along with in-depth understanding on PSS and referral mechanism, WFS operation, Dignity kit distribution, humanitarian principles, CHS and minimum standards, in country and international aspect and link relevant issues with analytical ability to design programme on VAWG. S/he must has networking and liaison capacity to strengthen different networks with GoB and local/national/ international NGOs.
∎ Relationships:Senior Programme Officer - PSS & GBV will be reportable to Project Coordinator. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, greater programme team including project teams under PPC Directorate and organization`s priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both programme and operational.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Programmatic:
∎ Demonstrate experience in GBV Case Management in emergency contexts
∎ Facilitate training on Gender based violence in emergency, PSS and referral mechanism, WFS operation, Dignity kit distribution, humanitarian principles, CHS and minimum standards,
∎ Support in project implementation and monitoring of program
∎ Develop indicator for GBViE programme
∎ In-depth knowledge on required issue.
∎ Strengthening Network:
∎ Provide support to explore the opportunities linking with GO and NGO.
∎ Develop concept / assessment report for donor
∎ Initiative to make accountable the district level duty bearer to ensure support during emergency
∎ Partnership Management:
∎ Manage strategic partners to ensure quality implementation of project.
∎ Do the needful for consultant hiring and provide proper guidance.
∎ Ensure audit for effective financial management.
∎ Documentation:
∎ Prepare report, change stories, best practices on project
∎ Work with communication team to integrate the concept GBViE thru social media mobilization
∎ Team Building:
∎ Maintain interpersonal communication in team and Organization
∎ Strengthening team member's capacity thru sharing knowledge and information
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of a 5 years' experience in GBV, GBV case management/ psychosocial support in emergencies as well as normal time.
∎ Excellent facilitation along with training facilitation and inter-personal skills
∎ Has expertise and experience in adherence to IASC GBV Case Management Guidelines
∎ Familiar with humanitarian programming;
∎ Have good ideas and relations with district level organizations/ fast line responders working in emergencies
∎ Strong communication skills in both verbal and written in English and Bangla
∎ Computer skills on MS word, Excel, PowerPoint Develop short and long-term program strategies and budget under the priority.
Salary:
∎ Monthly Gross Salary with other admissible benefits such as medical benefit, mobile allowance and group life insurance etc.
