Job Context:
∎ The role
∎ This position will be responsible to develop and roll out MEAL framework of Urban Resilience project engaging consortium and implementing partners. S/he will also be responsible for facilitating the direct implementation of project activities through local level implementing organization and will provide technical support at the field level in order to ensure quality implementation of the project interventions. S/he will develop relevant tools and approaches and facilitate different sessions at national and local level trainings and events. The incumbent will also play a key role in triangulating the monitoring, narrative and financial reports of the partners and provide support to the project management in developing reports and facilitating timely implementation of project interventions. The Senior Officer MEAL will also keep all the project related documents, records and data ready to deliver as and when those need and provide support to the management in developing r eports and facilitating timely implementation of project interventions.
∎ Qualifications and experience
∎ * At least 4 years’ experience in M&E/MEAL in any development organization of which 1 year (preferred) in a risk reduction/climate change adaptation/child protection project
∎ * Excellent knowledge of and skills in data analyzing computer software, including proven experience with Excel, Access and SPSS;
∎ * Strong motivational, facilitation and team building skills;
∎ * Excellent skills on English language, both fluent in spoken and written
∎ * Strong logical and analytical skills;
∎ * Proven experience in report writing;
∎ * Flexible in regard to tasks, working hours and team roles;
∎ * Proven experience with community-based, participatory monitoring;
∎ * Ability to travel to the field areas approximately for 40% of the working time;
∎ * Candidates must be capable of displaying great learning ability, support and encouragement of knowledge sharing across the projects, to the ultimate benefit of all SCI’s mission wide initiatives.
∎ * Master’s Degree, preferably in Statistics/Mathematics/Social Sciences or relevant discipline

∎ Business : The role
The Project Manager-DRR and EiE is mainly responsible for the overall implementation, monitoring, and supervision of EiE and DRR activities in Multi Purpose Cyclone Shelter (MPCS) and adjacent communities. S/he will supervise Project Officer/Senior Project Officer- EiE and DRR to implementation of EiE and DRR interventions and maintain accountability of the project activities following Save the Children and core humanitarian Standard. S/he will also provide support and enhance the capacity of government, partners and respective project staffs, including overall monitor their activities. The incumbent will provide technical inputs into the development, implementation and monitoring of the project and maintain close coordination with Save the Children field unit and collaboration with implementing partners.
Qualifications and experience
* Minimum 6 years of working experience, preferably in Education in Emergency (EiE) response, recovery and rehabilitation including Disaster Risk Reduction, including 3 years in management position.
* Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects related to DRR and EiE for children and young people, with a policy influencing dimension and proven experience on managing large projects.
* Excellent capacity building skill, especially the partners
* Ability to work in any situation during emergency
* Skill on expenditure tracking and monitoring
* Excellent communication skills in English & Bangla with the ability to produce quality analytical reports
* Master’s Degree, preferably in Disaster Management/Development Studies or relevant fields
