The "Strengthening Health Systems By Improving Community Health Workers’ Mental Wellbeing And Empowerment (SHINE)" project, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) in the UK, focuses on enhancing the mental wellbeing and empowerment of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Bangladesh and Kenya over a 48-month period. By co-developing and evaluating holistic health systems support package, the project aims to address the diverse personal and job-related stressors faced by CHWs, particularly those working in remote and underserved areas. BRAC will play a key role as a partner in field operation activities in Bangladesh, contributing to the project`s goal of improving CHWs` resilience, agency, and overall effectiveness, thereby supporting more sustainable and responsive health systems in low and middle-income countries (LMICs).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and maintain systems for storing project knowledge, documents, tools, and best practices.
Engage with external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and beneficiaries, to share knowledge and resources.
Represent the project at knowledge-sharing events, conferences, and workshops.
Regularly assess and update knowledge management practices to align with evolving project needs and innovations.
Assist supervisor in project implementation and maintaining coordination with collaborators & team members.
Prepare high-quality project reports, case studies, success stories, newsletters, and other relevant documentation.
Ensure consistent documentation of field experiences, lessons learned, and innovations in the project.
Ensure effective collection, analysis, and storage of project data and reports.
Engage with external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and beneficiaries, to share knowledge and resources.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
