Experience:

Additional Job Requirements
National laws and regulations, including the Seed Act, Seed Rules, and Fisheries guidelines
Potato seed production through tissue culture methods
Seed storage management (humidity, moisture content, temperature, etc.)
Seed treatment and quality testing techniques
Identification and management of crop and plant diseases and pests
Raising tree saplings for timber, fruit, medicinal, and ornamental plants
Preparation and management of quality seedlings, along with fish production technologies
Protocols for safe transportation of fish fry and fingerlings
Experience Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in Audit Compliance, Laws and Regulations or related field.
Job Purpose
This role is essential in upholding the quality and compliance of agricultural practices across the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for auditing seed production centers, agricultural operations, fish hatcheries, and related facilities to evaluate their adherence to established standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This is a Contractual position initially for one year.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive audits of production centers (rice, maize, potato, vegetable), fish hatcheries, agricultural operations, and related facilities to evaluate compliance with established standards, regulations, and best practices.
Assess the effectiveness of internal controls related to agricultural production, processing, and marketing activities.
Identify potential risks and areas for improvement in agricultural practices, recommending corrective actions to ensure compliance and enhance efficiency.
Prepare detailed audit reports with clear documentation of findings, observations, and recommendations.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including farmers, management, and regulatory agencies.
Stay updated on agricultural regulations, industry best practices, and auditing methodologies.
Collaborate with zones, divisions, and sections within the department to ensure successful implementation of the annual audit plan.
Coordinate with programmes and other departments on audit-related matters, including updates on circulars throughout the year.

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
