Bachelor’s degree in Textile/Fashion Merchandising or related field.·
Excellent costing accuracy and analytical ability.·
Strong communication with buyers and suppliers.·
Good knowledge of jacket/woven construction methods.·
Good negotiation and follow up skills.·
Proficiency in Excel and documentation.
Responsibilities & Context:
Prepare accurate costing for outerwear and woven styles (jackets, coats, vests, shirts, bottoms).
Calculate material consumption (fabric, trims, accessories) based on tech packs and samples.
Coordinate with IE team to obtain SMV and production feasibility for costing.
Analyze garment construction to determine cost impact and suggest cost saving options.
Collect and negotiate prices with fabric and trim suppliers.
Review tech packs, specs, and sketches to confirm development requirements.
Lead new style development from concept to proto stage.
Coordinate with sample room for proto, fit, and development samples.
Ensure timely submission of samples and material development to meet buyer deadlines.
Communicate with buyers for development details, clarifications, and approvals.
Work with design/technical team to improve garment construction for better costing.
Maintain costing sheets, fabric/trim charts, and development tracking sheets (T&A).
