Job Context:
∎ Primary Purpose of Org. Unit :
∎ Support function for sourcing team & cross functional teams in US, Canada & International markets
∎ Responsible for the execution and approval (as per agreed categories) of fit, construction and workmanship through development and pre-production to meet agreed customer specifications including all Walmart project time lines, cost, safety & quality requirements
∎ Training and certification of suppliers technical support to Walmart standards for fit, execution and workmanship.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Essential Functions of the Job:
∎ Identifies seasonal technical innovation and process that would add value or reduce cost for brands.
∎ Manages the team through all necessary technical activities prior to and during product development, selection and production in order to support EDLC, while achieving RFT fit and construction to build in quality at the beginning of the product life cycle.
∎ Provide technical support to tech team of the retail markets to develop / revise blocks and construction to assure product consistency and inherent quality.
∎ Provides technical support to Global Sourcing, suppliers & factories, in multiple locations, for a wide range of apparel products, over all garment categories.
∎ Ensures that all products conform to the latest regulatory legislation regarding fit & construction in all key markets. Suggests alternatives where necessary.
∎ Collaborates with Director/Senior TM to develop and implement efficient sample fit process, tracking mechanism, related training material and guidelines for suppliers, retail markets and technical teams.
∎ Implements technical standards - detail level of tech packs, minimum construction, how to measure and quality requirement.
∎ Communicate and interface with the key or critical technologies and industries for upfront planning and execution, not limited to Testing Protocol development, Product Licensing and the related software
∎ Actively researches new categories and/or technologies, from a technical perspective to support sourcing strategies
∎ Proactive involvement in factory audit / selection / improvement; in the production and agreement of specifications; reviewing performance, compliance with Wal-Mart's standards, and testing certification.
∎ Specific Duties and Accountabilities of the Job:
∎ Communicates department and business strategies to teams and crossfunctional teams.
∎ Ensure all key milestones are monitored and achieved within the department working closely with sourcing, buyers, PD's and CFT's.
∎ Ensures consistency across brands and/or suppliers.
∎ Implements robust and effective procedures and regularly hindsight the same to drive continuous improvement.
∎ Conducts benchmarking exercises of key products as needed.
∎ Ensure that all products conform to the latest Health and Safety legislation and regulations and are cost engineered to the agreed product standards.
∎ Understands seasonal trends, to enable effective interpretation of the desired aesthetics that enhances speed to market
∎ Assumes project management responsibility for projects in support of overall departmental goals and objectives
Additional Requirements:
∎ Buying Office and / or Production and strong experience product design and development
∎ Sound knowledge in pattern making, garment construction
∎ Understands the Product Development cycle from concept to delivery.
∎ Strong ability to influence and communicate at all levels and functions.
∎ A strong cultural awareness and flexible in their approach, building trust with all stakeholders.
∎ Good communication and presentation skills. Good command of English (both verbal and written) ? Proficient in Microsoft office (excel spreadsheet, word, power point). Able to work with some formula and create data analysis
∎ Analytical, organized, good problem solving and with an eye for detail Management skills to engage and develop the technical team
∎ Able to handle multiple tasks in organized manner, with a sense of urgency.
∎ Great interpersonal skills, an ability to navigate through the 'grey areas' with suppliers, buyers and other stakeholders in regard to product.
∎ Timeline tracking and discipline
∎ Takes ownership and is able to work under pressure
∎ Able to identify, analyze and find alternative solutions to resolve issues.
∎ Team player with ability to work with a diverse range of associates, customers and suppliers.
