Job Responsibilities:
∎ Primary Purpose of Position:
∎ Ethical Standards Divisional Manager is responsible for developing regional execution strategy and effectively managing the Wal-Mart Ethical Standards program. Works closely with key suppliers, factories and appropriate stakeholders to conduct ethical standards monitoring in regional hotspots and issues. Regularly communicates and develops action plans with Senior Management and regional associates to protect the Wal-Mart brand in the region.
∎ Essential Functions of the Job:
∎ This position is responsible for the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
∎ Essential Functions :
∎ 1. An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
∎ 2. Analyzes key performance metrics for Ethical Sourcing functions by working with Ethical Sourcing management to clarify and document key performance indicators (for example, factory ratings) for each Ethical Sourcing function and develop measurement systems; performing analyses to determine gaps in performance; following up with Ethical Sourcing team to discuss performance gaps and plan action steps to improve results; and ensuring audit-focused processes are geared toward supplier development and capacity building.
∎ 3. Manages ethical sourcing data and information by collecting quantitative and qualitative information on successes and challenges in the field; compiling multiple sources of information into an organized system; serving as the main point of contact for ethical sourcing reporting, data, and information; conducting analyses and forecasting to explain current and future ethical sourcing areas of focus; providing data and information for external reporting; and providing data-based recommendations to leadership for operational and strategic decision-making.
∎ 4. Manages Ethical Sourcing projects by identifying requirements based on data analysis and interactions with internal and external stakeholders (for example, field team, sourcing group); working with management to develop projects to address Ethical Sourcing needs; coordinating Ethical Sourcing initiatives with cross-functional departments and associates in global regions; building business partnerships and relationships with cross-functional areas of the business; acting as the central point of contact for Ethical Sourcing projects; communicating project goals, timelines, and expected results; ensuring effective integration of Ethical Sourcing within high level organizational strategic processes (for example, item file, project evaluation, purchasing practices, indexing); monitoring project progress and reporting timelines to leadership; and taking action when projects are not progressing on schedule or within budget.
∎ 5. Manages formal change management process and strategic change by recommending adjustments and controls to ensure Global Sourcing Job Description that change is sustained, goals are attained, and delivery is consistent.
∎ 6. Drives the implementation of Ethical Sourcing strategies by setting and communicating goals that support strategic direction; aligning ethical sourcing standards and sustainability goals with organizational processes (for example, project evaluation, purchasing practices); providing guidance to multiple areas of the business (for example, Sourcing, field team, retail market buying groups, Corporate Affairs, Government Relations) on how to incorporate Ethical Sourcing in short- and long- term business objectives; and making recommendations to leadership based on progress toward goals.
∎ 7. Directs and administers Ethical Sourcing short-term and longterm strategy by assisting in strategy development, project identification, and project management; assigning metrics and key performance indicator (KPI) measurements for all Ethical Sourcing functions; providing strategic project direction and guidance for Ethical Sourcing activities; unifying and driving the team toward achieving projected targets; managing strategic meetings, summits, and communication updates to achieve projected goals; ensuring efforts are not derailed; providing support in challenging the need for projects and endeavors; and managing budgetary considerations, milestone deliverables, on-time delivery, and project management best practices.
∎ 8. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for Ethical Sourcing area by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Ethical sourcing monitoring experience, or a position with an international scope preferred
∎ More than 9 years experiences in supply chain management, compliance monitoring, product development, operations management, manufacturing, sourcing, merchandising, or corporate affairs OR 7 years experiences in product development, operations management, manufacturing, sourcing, merchandising, or corporate affairs OR 5 years experiences working directly in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
∎ Minimum 5 years supervisory experiences
∎ Minimum 2 years experiences with international markets
∎ Strong leadership, people development and team building skills
∎ High level of personal and professional integrity
∎ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
∎ Multi-task oriented, flexible and creative problem solving approach to business
∎ Bilingual skills may be required
∎ Systems skills - Retail Link and GSS knowledge.
∎ Demonstrated strong work ethic
∎ Ability to work in a team environment
∎ Strong presentation skills for external engagement, summits, meetings and training sessions
