Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct lab testing of yarn, fabric, and garments to ensure compliance with buyer requirements and quality standards.
Perform color matching, shade approval, and maintain consistency using lab equipment (e.g., spectrophotometer, color matching cabinet).
Execute physical and chemical tests such as GSM, shrinkage, color fastness, pH, and rubbing test.
Maintain accurate lab reports, test records, and documentation for audits and buyer review.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and international testing methods (ISO, AATCC, etc.).
Support bulk production by approving lab dips, strike-offs, and pre-production samples.
Identify quality issues and communicate with production, dyeing, and finishing teams for corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with buyer standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist in internal and external audits related to quality and laboratory testing.
