Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 8-10 years in managerial/Supervisory role.

  • Ability to work independently and must be a hands-on person, pro-active, energetic, a team player and a team leader.

  • Strong managerial skill is a must.

  • Proficiency in pattern cutting and correction (both manual and CAD).

  • Strong knowledge of garment construction and fitting.

  • Experience managing a sample room (buying house/brand experience is a plus).

  • Good communication in English and strong stakeholder management skills.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Oversee digital pattern making, grading, and marker planning using CAD software (Lectra, Optitex, etc.).

  • Ensure patterns are technically accurate and aligned with the tech pack, spec sheet, shrinkage, and fabric type.

  • Develop fabric consumption reports and assign marker efficiency targets by fabric type (woven, knit, denim, etc.).

  • Digitise and maintain a pattern library by buyer, style, season, and revision history.

  • Approve final markers before cutting and ensure minimum fabric wastage.

  • Supervise sample room operations: cutting, sewing, finishing, ironing, and quality.

  • Ensure timely development of Proto, Fit, SMS, PP, TOP, and Size Set samples.

  • Analyse buyer comments and lead fit correction, pattern alteration, and re-sample if needed.

  • Maintain the sample T&A calendar and submission tracker.

  • Approve sample trims, accessories, and workmanship as per the buyer’s standard.

  • Prepare a detailed technical file (Tech Pack) including Pattern & Measurement Sheet, Sewing Operation Bulletin / Machine list, Construction details & SPI (Stitch per Inch), Seam allowances, shrinkage adjustments and CAD marker layout & consumption.

  • Conduct PPM (Pre-Production Meetings) and hand over accurate technical files to production teams.

  • To guide production team on specialized stitches, bonding, heat seal, embroidery, printing, washing techniques.

  • Communicate with buyers/technical teams for fit comments, construction approvals, pattern modifications, and cost-saving techniques.

  • Attend buyer meetings and virtual fittings, and share updated tech packs.

  • Ensure all sample submissions and approvals are recorded and archived in the system.

  • Any other task assign by the management
