Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collaborate with the Director of Health in planning, coordinating, and executing various health department programs and initiatives.
∎ Prepare reports and presentations to inform decision-making and policy development.
∎ Assist in the development and implementation of health policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
∎ Participate in budget planning and resource allocation discussions to optimize departmental resources for maximum impact.
∎ Provide technical guidance to full function of the BDRCS’s 56 Mother and Child Health (MCH) centres at community level.
∎ Foster strong relationships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the quality of healthcare services and recommend improvements to enhance patient care and safety.
∎ Contribute to emergency preparedness and response efforts, ensuring the department's ability to respond effectively to health crises.
∎ Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, facilitating their professional growth and development.
∎ Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to departmental activities and projects.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ Under the supervision of the Director-Health, the Senior Health Officer is responsible for providing essential support to the Director of Health in the day-to-day operationalization of departmental activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services in the MCH Centers and other health facilities. The Senior Health Officer will work closely with the Director of Health, health professionals of the IFRC and PNSs, and administrative staff to uphold and enhance the department's mission.
