∎ Malteser International (MI) is the international humanitarian relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta. ∎ Since September 2017, Malteser International is operational in Bangladesh through local partner organizations. One program pillar is coordinated from Cox`s Bazar targeting health and nutrition support to Rohingya refugees living in refugee camps and supporting the host communities in coping with the disruptive environment created by the influx of refugees. Another program pillar is a localization program with a focus on strengthening capacities of local actors in humanitarian response, preparedness, coordination, and advocacy with partners working in different parts of the country. The third pillar is a development project for resilience strengthening of vulnerable population in North, West and East Bangladesh through a network approach of 4 partner organizations.
∎ For the support of the 4 partner organizations of this development project, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Senior Finance Officer - National Position.
∎ As Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible to support and guide the partner organizations in line with the donor (BMZ-PT) and Malteser International (MI) regulations and guidelines, to monitor the financial project implementation by reviewing of partner finance reports, accounting system and supporting documentation, and to provide support to partner finance staff.
∎ A responsible and exciting job (full-time position) in a committed working environment
∎ Start Date: as soon as possible
∎ Duty Station: Dhaka, Bangladesh with travel to Cox´s Bazar, Kurigram, Satkira and Bagerhat
∎ Duration of contract: until 31.12.2024 (extendable to 2025)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical and managerial guidance and support to 4 partner organizations in ensuring successful and high-quality implementation and compliance with international standards as well as donor and Malteser International regulations and guidelines
∎ Ensure compliance with international standards and BMZ-PT and MI regulations and guidelines
∎ Continue to foster and inspire respectful, trustful, and collaborative partnerships between Malteser International and partner organizations, authorities, and other stakeholders
∎ Conduct regular monitoring visits for supporting partners and reviewing project implementation with partners

Additional Requirements:
∎ 10 years practical experience of financial management, financial monitoring, administration, logistics and procurement in the humanitarian/development projects with either NGOs/INGOs
∎ Proven experience to work collaboratively with partner organizations and providing technical guidance based on a trusted and mutually supportive partnership
∎ Experience in the usage of computers and MS office packages (word, excel, outlook, power point, teams etc.) and other computerized applications
∎ Bangladeshi national with fluency in English and Bangla (written and spoken)
∎ Physical and mental strength for frequent traveling
∎ Experience with the BMZ-PT funded projects would be an additional asset
