Responsibilities & Context:
Allocate all types of yarn to factories based on production requirements.
Review daily yarn requisitions and decide whether to use available stock or initiate new purchases.
Determine IH (In-House) schedule start and close dates in consultation with spinners to ensure TNA (Time and Action) compliance, follow up on IH schedules as per confirmed POs, and ensure timely entry into the system so yarn can be issued to knitting without delays.
Follow up on all quality-related issues, monitor yarn lot tests, analyze test reports, and take prompt corrective action in case of any quality concerns.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery timelines; take necessary actions for commercial approvals of problematic yarn and fabric.
Check and update yarn balance summaries across the group, verify daily yarn receiving reports with LCs, maintain all count-wise LC records in Excel, and prepare supplier delivery breakdowns by count.
Visit supplier factories and offices to build strong professional relationships, ensure quality standards, and resolve issues.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
Coordinate with internal departments (knitting, merchandising, production) to align supply chain decisions with overall business needs.
Prepare regular reports on yarn purchase, stock status, supplier performance, and cost savings for management review.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, sustainability standards, and legal requirements.
