Plan and control shift wise welding and painting operations to achieve production targets efficiently.
Monitor manpower, machines, materials and processes for optimum utilization.
Supervise welding operations and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
Monitor welding parameters, weld quality, fixtures, jigs and equipment condition.
Analyze welding defects and conduct root cause analysis with effective corrective and preventive actions.
Manage and improve painting processes, including surface preparation, chemical/process control, painting equipment and curing operations.
Monitor paint quality, appearance, adhesion, thickness and other specified quality parameters.
Prepare & ensure proper implementation of SOP, quality standards and process control documents.
Develop and implement process improvements to reduce defects, rework, rejection, cycle time and manufacturing losses.
Lead 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities within the shop.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Production Planning, Engineering and other relevant departments to resolve manufacturing issues.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct regular shop-floor safety activities.
Prepare and analyze production, quality, efficiency and downtime reports.
Train and develop operators and technicians on process standards, quality requirements and safe working practices.
