Responsibilities & Context:
  • Manage the entire cable production process, from wire drawing through to final assembly, ensuring smooth operations, consistent quality, and adherence to production schedules.

  • Oversee resources, lead teams, and optimize workflows to achieve delivery goals while minimizing waste and boosting productivity.

  • Plan, supervise, and improve extrusion and assembly operations, including die and tooling calculations for LT, MV, and EHV cables. Ensure accurate setup of conductors, insulation, and sheathing to maintain superior product quality.

  • Design and implement die and tooling solutions for various cable types such as flexible, compacted, and specialized conductors. Collaborate closely with production teams to maximize tooling effectiveness and product precision.

  • Create and manage production schedules on a daily to monthly basis, aligned with customer demand. Work cross-functionally to balance workloads, maximize machine usage, and ensure timely deliveries.

  • Oversee the manufacturing of specialized cables, including fire-resistant, LSZH, silicon, and lead/aluminum sheathed cables, ensuring compliance with quality standards, reducing defects, and fulfilling client requirements.

  • Lead Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to drive operational excellence. Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), identify process bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement strategies to sustain productivity.

  • Operate and troubleshoot key production machinery such as CCV, Sioplas, and sheathing lines. Coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance, minimize equipment downtime, and assist with new machinery installations.

  • Manage the appropriate use of essential materials like copper, aluminum, PVC, and XLPE. Track material consumption, minimize waste, and maintain accurate inventory in collaboration with procurement and stores.

  • Ensure all production activities comply with industry and customer standards including ISO, IEC, BS, VDE, BDS. Perform in-process inspections, work closely with QA and R&D teams, and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
