Responsibilities & Context:
- Report to senior managers regarding the company’s financial performance.
- Advise management on financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
- Process year-end accounts and prepare annual financial statements.
- Advise clients and management on tax planning and compliance matters.
- Detect and prevent financial fraud and irregularities.
- Prepare forms, manuals, and documentation for accounting and bookkeeping personnel.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors as required.
- Accurately and promptly process financial documentation and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Support senior management in financial investigations and departmental account reviews.
- Investigate outstanding items and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Collect and analyze raw financial data for business review.
- Conduct regular business performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement treasury policies and financial control systems.
- Prepare standard accounting reports and summaries for financial analysis.
- Review the company’s financial systems and recommend improvements.
- Perform inter-fund and cash transfers as necessary.
- Support accounting team members with technical and operational issues.
- Carry out any other accounting-related duties as assigned by management.
