Responsibilities & Context:
Sample Collection: Collect biological samples (blood, urine, sputum, throat swabs) from patients, including home collection services.
Adhere to WHO-approved blood collection procedures and infection control protocols (using PPE) during collection and transport.
Ensure accurate patient identification and meticulous labeling of vials with patient names and dates.
Safely transport samples to the laboratory, ensuring proper storage temperature (e.g., for COVID-19 or TB tests).
Assist with basic laboratory tests, such as hematology, biochemistry, and microbiology, if required.
Maintain digital or manual records of collected samples and patient information.
Maintain professionalism and empathy while dealing with patients, especially in home collection roles
