Responsibilities & Context:
∎ As the Operations Manager of our River Retreat,The Slow Deck, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of daily operations to ensure a seamless and delightful experience for our customers. You will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining quality standards, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a keen eye for detail.
∎ Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise The Slow Deck staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel. Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation. Provide ongoing training and coaching to enhance staff performance and customer service skills.
∎ Operations Oversight: Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.Develop and implement efficient workflows to optimize productivity and minimize waste.Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and inventory to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
∎ Customer Service: Encourage a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to provide an exceptional customer experience. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer. Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, such as loyalty programs or special promotions.
∎ Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency. Monitor product inventory and supplier relationships to ensure freshness, availability, and cost-effectiveness. Implement quality control measures to uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
∎ Financial Management: Assist in developing and managing budgets, including labor, inventory, and operational expenses. Monitor sales performance and analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities to drive sales and profitability.T
∎ eam Development: Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment by fostering open communication, teamwork, and mutual respect. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to empower staff and enhance their skills and capabilities. Recognize and reward outstanding performance to motivate and retain top talent.
∎ Menu Planning: Collaborate with chefs, baristas, and other stakeholders to develop a diverse and appealing menu that reflects our brand identity and meets the needs of our target market. Design menu layouts and descriptions that are visually appealing, easy to read, and accurately convey the quality and uniqueness of our offerings.
