∎ MSc in Statistics is required; particularly with coursework or experience in Bayesian methods.

∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supervisory experience, and well conversant in computer applications.
∎ Willingness to work on holidays and after office-hours, if necessary.
∎ Third division/class/ equivalent CGPA of the candidates in any educational level will not be accepted.
∎ Programming proficiency in R, Python, Perl, C++, Java, or a similar language.
∎ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal for effective collaboration and training.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and maintain bioinformatics tools and workflows for next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide statistical expertise for data analysis and experimental design.
∎ Train team members in the application of statistical methods in computational biology, with a focus on Machine Learning Approaches.
∎ Research Officer, NGRI (NSU Genome Research Institute)
∎ Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated individual to develop and implement advanced bioinformatics tools and pipelines for analyzing data from state-of-the-art sequencing technologies, such as Illumina MiSeq and nanopore sequencing. This role is particularly suited for a candidate with a strong foundation in statistics having interest in applying their skills in a computational biology setting.
