Educational Requirements:
∎ Master Degree with 4 or 3 years' honors in any discipline with good academic records (minimum second class/division or equivalent GPA). No third class/division in any public examination be entertained. PhD holding candidates will be given preference.
∎ Minimum of 10-15 years' extensive managerial experiences as Deputy Registrar in any reputed Public/Private University or equivalent post in any agencies in Bangladesh Army/Navy/Air Force or others similar positions with excellent Computer & IT skills and having initiative and problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, cooperation and leadership skills.
∎ The incumbent should have fluent communication and writing skill in Bangla & English, Computer and IT Knowledge.
∎ In depth knowledge in Private University Act 2010, BNQF Rules, UGC rules and BAC Manual.
∎ Excellent research, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in collaboration with URC and NIC4IR;
∎ Attuned to detail and insistent on correct information and data, both verbal and written;
∎ Experience with Student Information Systems(SIS); development of reports, plans and budgets, and regulations related to student records using software;
∎ Demonstrated experience to manage complex operations and systems.

Job Context:
∎ The Registrar of the university provides leadership and oversight to all aspects of the Office of the Registrar. The University Registrar plays a critical role in the University and Academic operations by effectively managing the maintenance and integrity of all student academic records, the approved curriculum, the creation and maintenance of course schedules, all areas of student registration and the recording and reporting of grades, compliance with the UGC and BAC regulations, and the establishment and maintenance of processes for the equitable and consistent administration of policies and procedures as they relate to registration and academic record keeping. The Registrar of the university must provide strong leadership consistent with the academic goals and mission of the institution in collaboration with all faculty members, officers and staff of the university.
∎ Applications are invited for the post of Registrar on prevailing terms and conditions of USTC:
∎ Employment Status: Full-time. Evenings and weekends may be required.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manages of staff and operations of the Office of the Registrar;
∎ Supervises the registration of continuing and incoming undergraduate and post graduate students, fee structures, scholarship, awards, transfer of credits, and degree evaluations as per Academic Ordinances;
∎ Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students, and facilitates effective student registration process following UGC and BAC guidelines;
∎ Partners with Admissions and Academic Advising to facilitate an efficient and timely process to move newly accepted students to registered;
∎ Manages an efficient transcript evaluation and processing in collaboration with the Controller of Examinations;
∎ Developing and maintaining degree audit system and certification of students for graduation/graduation clearance in collaboration with the Controller of Examinations;
∎ Maintains up-to-date Academic Calendars covering course schedules, catalogs, final examination schedules;
∎ Manages efficient use of classrooms with sufficient teaching-learning equipment and facilities;
∎ Interprets and enforces academic policies and regulations of the University as per the Academic Ordinances and rules & regulations of UGC and BAC;
∎ Keeping abreast of operational and reporting trends, regulations, and technology solutions for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Registrar's office;
∎ Serves as of the officials responsible for the MoE, UGC and BAC compliance for the University;
∎ Develops and maintains accurate curriculum management systems and published in a University Catalog/Annual Report/Newsletter/USTC Journal in collaboration with IQAC;
∎ Plans and manages the annual budget of the Registrar's Office in collaboration with the Treasurer;
∎ Maintains all records of local and foreign collaborations with university;
∎ Maintain properly all legal issues related to the university;
∎ Maintain close contact with the foreign embassies;
∎ Maintain close relationship with industries;
∎ Maintain close contact with the BOT USTC;
∎ Maintain all affairs related to the timely scheduling and conduction of the AC, Syndicate, Disciplinary Committee and Finance Committee
∎ Conduct the Central Orientation/Convocation in association with CAC and Organizing Committees
∎ Other Duties as assigned.
∎ Other functions: Serves on appropriate Academic and University Management and Trust Committees.

∎ Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information;
∎ Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form using IT techniques;
∎ Ability to take initiative from planning to execution without direct supervision.
