Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a caring, energetic, and creative Preschool Teacher to nurture our youngest learners and build a strong foundation for their academic and personal growth.

The teacher will be responsible for:

Child Care & Classroom Management

• Create a safe, warm, and child-friendly classroom environment.

• Ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all students.

• Maintain discipline in a positive and gentle manner suitable for early years.

• Supervise children at all times (classroom, playtime, washroom routines, etc.).

Teaching & Learning

• Plan and conduct engaging lessons for Pre-Play, Playgroup, and Nursery students.

• Use play-based and activity-based learning methods.

• Teach basic concepts such as alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, rhymes, stories, and early social skills.

• Encourage creativity through art, craft, music, movement, and storytelling.

• Support the development of fine motor skills, communication, and confidence.

Student Development & Records

• Observe and monitor each child’s progress (behavioral, social, and academic).

• Identify students who need extra support and inform school authority or parents.

• Maintain student records, classwork, and activity portfolios.

Parent Communication

• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and behavior.

• Maintain polite, professional, and respectful relationships with guardians.

• Inform parents about school activities, events, and student needs.

School Duties

• Participate in school programs, events, and celebrations.

• Help in preparing classroom decorations, learning materials, and displays.

• Follow school rules, policies, and academic guidelines.

• Work cooperatively with other teachers and school staff.

• Maintain confidentiality of school information and student details.

Requirements

• Passion for working with young children.

• Patience, creativity, and a friendly personality.

• Good communication skills (English preferred).

• Prior experience in preschool or early childhood teaching is an advantage.

Salary & Growth

Horizon International School is a growing startup institution. The initial salary is set at a minimum level, but it will increase according to the growth and development of the school and the teacher’s performance and contribution.
