3. Academic Qualifications, Experience, and Other Requirements: The candidate must meet the following criteria:
A Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, with a minimum of two First Class/Division/A Grades, one of which must be in either the undergraduate or graduate program.
At least 12 years of teaching experience at the university level, including a minimum of 5 years as an Associate Professor.
A minimum of 15 publications, with at least 7 of them published during the tenure as an Associate Professor.
OR
M.Phil in Computer Science and Engineering with minimum two First Class/Div/A Grade.
At least 18 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 06 years as an Associate Professor.
Must have 15 publications to his/her credit, out of which 7 publications as Associate Professor.
OR
M.Sc and B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from a reputed University. Must have achieved at least 03 x First Class/Div/A Grade in the entire educational curriculum.
At least 20 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 07 years as an Associate Professor.
Must have 15 publications to his/her credit, out of which 7 publications as Associate Professor.
1. Position Description: BAIUST invites applications from dynamic, qualified, and committed individuals for the position of Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, academic leadership, and service to both the university and the broader academic community.
2. Key Responsibilities:
To teach undergraduate courses in accordance with the approved syllabus, with a strong emphasis on both core and advanced areas of Computer Science and Engineering.
To design and deliver engaging, effective, and research-informed instruction, incorporating modern pedagogical techniques that accommodate diverse learning needs.
To mentor students in academic growth, final year projects, research activities, and professional development.
To conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conferences, both nationally and internationally.
To provide academic leadership within the department and actively contribute to faculty development and strategic planning.
To participate in and contribute to the activities of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), including self-assessment, program review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
To lead and support initiatives for national and international accreditation and institutional ranking.
To contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curricula, ensuring alignment with global academic and industry standards.
To ensure that course content remains current, research-driven, and relevant to both academic and industry developments.
To engage in curriculum development, academic audits, and policy formulation processes in line with the strategic vision of the university.
To initiate and maintain collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders in order to enhance student exposure through internships, industry-led projects, expert lectures, and job placement opportunities.
To participate in interdisciplinary collaborations, innovation initiatives, and knowledge-sharing activities within and beyond the department.
To participate in university committees and represent the department in academic and administrative forums as needed.
To represent the university at national and international academic events, collaborations, and exchange programs, enhancing institutional visibility and reputation.
To stay updated with emerging technologies (e.g., AI, quantum computing, block chain, cyber security) and incorporate their implications into teaching, research, and outreach.
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the university authority.
