Responsibilities & Context:

1. Direct Management of Assigned Outlets

● Own daily sales performance, gross profit, operating expenses, break-even achievement and overall

operating results for the directly assigned outlets.

● Directly supervise outlet managers, pharmacists and support teams; monitor staffing, shift rosters,

attendance and service standards.

● Ensure cash controls, daily sales closing, inventory accuracy, replenishment, expiry management,

merchandising, cleanliness and customer complaint resolution.

2. Regional Sales & Business Growth

● Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for the entire region, encompassing directly managed

and ASM-managed outlets.

● Review outlet- and area-level sales trends, gaps and category mix; direct plans to increase footfall, average

basket value, cross-selling and customer retention.

● Identify regional market opportunities and work with Marketing on local promotions, health camps and

customer acquisition programs.

3. ASM Supervision & Leadership

● Lead, coach and assess ASMs against area-level sales, profitability, compliance and service objectives.

● Conduct structured weekly ASM performance reviews, outlet visits and action-plan follow-ups.

● Hold ASMs accountable for SOP execution, workforce effectiveness, inventory discipline and operational

issue resolution within their areas.

● Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, training and succession planning in coordination with HR.

4. Regional Profitability & Financial Control

● Monitor regional and outlet-wise gross profit after discount, operating costs, break-even sales and overall

profitability.

● Develop recovery programs for underperforming or loss-making outlets and track progress to positive

bottom-line results.

● Coordinate with Finance and Audit for timely outlet-wise cash, sales deposit, purchase advance and

inventory reconciliations.

● Improve manpower productivity, inventory investment and controllable costs without compromising service or

compliance.

5. Retail Operations & Inventory Management

● Ensure consistent SOPs, outlet opening/closing routines, daily reconciliations, planograms and retail service

standards across the region.

● Work with Supply Chain, Warehouse and Inventory Control to prevent stock-outs, reduce expiries and

shrinkage, and maintain stock accuracy.

● Monitor audit observations, inventory counting and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

6. Pharmacy Compliance, Quality & Customer Experience

● Ensure adherence to applicable DGDA, Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh, DIFE, City Corporation and other

licensing or operational requirements.

● Monitor qualified pharmacist coverage, appropriate dispensing, medicine storage conditions,

temperature-sensitive handling and required records.

● Promote consistent customer care; resolve escalated complaints and support retention and loyalty initiatives.

7. Expansion & Local Business Development

● Identify potential locations, local partnerships and commercial opportunities; support feasibility reviews and

outlet openings.

● Oversee launch readiness and early-stage performance of new outlets and support approved franchise pilots

where applicable.

8. Reporting & Strategic Execution

● Submit timely daily/weekly sales reviews, monthly regional P&L insights, forecasts, market intelligence and

action trackers.

● Escalate material sales, staffing, compliance, financial or inventory risks promptly and follow through to

closure.

● Implement management decisions through directly managed outlets and ASMs, monitoring deadlines and

results.
