Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Radio jockey (RJ) shall script, edit, formulate, present and end the show with confidence and success.
∎ From beginning till the end of the show, proper balance of the program MUST be maintained.
∎ Every word on-air needs to be timed perfectly for songs, ad breaks, etc, so it will have to be scripted and rehearsed in advance to avoid mistakes. This includes factoring in interviews, listener phone calls, promotional content and more.
∎ Strategically organizing music for broadcasting. In addition, communicating with the listeners, answering their queries in smart way and handling the On-air room with care.
∎ Follow the instructions and work with the producer while playing different songs and tunes that complement the theme of the specific program and cater to the likes/dislikes of the listeners. Sometimes need to produce a show/program as producer & presenter.
∎ For promotional intense, celebs and guests will be interviewed properly with no personal attack, create embarrassing situation or say anything against the Government, Defense, Ministry and/or related.
∎ Must not express any offensive comment regarding any national/international race, sex, religion, established social norms, community, country or place.
∎ Ensure the quality of the program according the reputation of the company. Any compromise in this respect shall not be tolerated.
∎ Develop program schedule; keep up with what's happening around the world and share relevant tidbits with your audience as listeners will need to listen to programs based on the latest trends and themes.
∎ Many people listen to the radio while driving/travelling, so keep the listeners updated with news, traffic, weather reports, sports, breaking events and other latest information as their sole source.
∎ Mapping out interesting promotional contests for listeners to win prizes that are sponsored by the brand/s.
∎ Being well-versed with audio technology and sound equipment.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 32 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ The Radio jockey (RJ) must be articulate and with excellent presence of mind.
∎ A proper mind-set of "Can-do" with attitude when presenting a program with confidence
∎ Excellent knowledge and skills about Bangla and English. These include from proper understanding to accurate pronunciation to final presentation.
∎ Understand and realize the Brand value of "Radio Today", therefore act accordingly.
∎ In-depth acquaintance about current trends, most specifically about local music & entertainment followed by Global arena.
∎ Must know the audience/listeners while conducting specific program.
∎ Updated with latest news and current events.
∎ Shall be in practice of research and development of a particular topic of presentation.
∎ Must know the art of voice making.
∎ Use personal network at best way possible.
∎ Ought to have precise sense of Time management on responsibilities and others.
∎ Smart enough to handle the celebrities and personalities of different sectors.
∎ Should have good habit of reading books, journals and novels of different authors
