Job Responsibilities:
∎ Primary role of the job is for a Purchasing Executive for a New York based company. We are looking for candidates with good communication skills who are fluent in English, both speaking and writing. Must be able to work night shift in our office located in Uttara.
∎ The work hours in Dhaka time are Monday - Friday from 8:00pm - 5:00am and Saturdays from 11pm - 5am:. Sundays are off. IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK AND WRITE VERY GOOD ENGLISH, DO NOT APPLY!!! If you can meet these requirements, please proceed as we are looking for top talent.
∎ You will be assisting Senior Management located in New York to facilitate all buying activities. This includes analyzing current inventory shortages, preparing reports for items needed to purchase, and sending request for quotes to list of suppliers and collecting their quotes.
∎ Candidate will need to have very good negotiating skills to bargain and lower vendor prices to attain best possible costs.
∎ Must be extremely organized to handle multiple purchase orders simultaneously across many suppliers. A sharp, analytical, and commercial mind is critically necessary. You will be required to follow up with vendors on a regular basis to make new orders as well as follow up on previous orders to ensure they are delivered to our warehouse on time.
∎ Must communicate with trucking companies and local truckers to ensure freight is picked up from suppliers and delivered to New York warehouse on time.
∎ Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and entire suite of Microsoft Office programs.
∎ Must have strong command of computers as you will be required to enter purchase orders, analyze inventory and purchasing data across various software systems.
∎ Execute other office processes and requirements as necessary including but not limited to routine office tasks, data entry, data formatting, sales analysis, purchasing analysis, project coordination, and many other tasks.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years

∎ Must be able to comfortably and fluently speak and write in English as all work and communication will be in English.

∎ Must be able to work night shift in accordance to USA office times.
∎ Must have advanced skills in Excel with knowledge of v-lookups to quickly cross reference different sets of data to create offers, analyze prices, and compare items.
∎ Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a huge bonus but not required. Graphic design and creative/artistic skills will have big advantage.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Able to multi task with constant workloads in a pressurized environment.
∎ Honest and highly motivated personality who can meet and exceed sales targets.
∎ Strong commercial acumen
