Responsibilities & Context:

ACI Agrolink Limited, a concern of ACI PLC, is a leading frozen seafood processing company in Bangladesh, specializing in the processing and export of high-quality shrimp. With a strong focus on quality, compliance and operational excellence. To strengthen our procurement and sourcing operations, we are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Officer, who will be responsible for sourcing high-quality shrimp, monitoring market trends, developing supplier networks, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement to support smooth and uninterrupted production.
The incumbent will be responsible for:

• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials (shrimp) by sourcing from suppliers, landing centers, and directly from farmers, in alignment with production schedules and storage capacity requirements.

• Monitor raw material (Shrimp) market trends to support accurate price estimation.

• Analyze historical purchase data and supplier performance to support procurement decisions.

• Conduct frequent market visits to observe shrimp availability, quality, and price movements directly from landing centers and suppliers.

• Conduct supplier mapping and update supplier lists regularly to strengthen sourcing networks.

• Identify and develop new suppliers to diversify sourcing options.

• Align procurement plans with production and storage requirements.

• Negotiate competitive rates with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.

• Monitor stock levels and shipment orders to ensure timely procurement of raw materials.

• Collect daily/weekly shrimp price data from suppliers, agents, and field contacts.

• Maintain strong business relationships with existing and potential suppliers.

• Maintain supplier records including quotations, agreements, and correspondence.

• Prepare and submit comparative price statements and purchase reports for management review.

• Work collaboratively with production, accounts and other relevant teams.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and quality standards.
