Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Publications Specialist will assist the Communications and Advocacy Specialist (CAS) with communications and reporting, including online and social-media presence and stakeholder engagement. Provide design, and implementation of communications and public outreach, support activities under Social Behavior Change (SBC) campaigns. The Specialist will assist CAS in developing Protibesh deliverables such as the reports, success stories, among others.
∎ Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
∎ Applying Protibesh's Communications Strategy and helping CAS to implement this strategy.
∎ Apply USAID's branding and marking regulations and other communication guidelines to Protibesh activities and its materials as assigned by CAS. Guide project staff, partners, and counterparts on appropriate use of branding.
∎ Support the implementation of social behavior change campaigns. Assist implementation of Protibesh communications strategies, including public outreach and advocacy activities, as assigned by CAS.
∎ Support the development of communications and outreach products including: preparation of success stories (written or video), making use of the various USAID formats for telling stories - Success Story (Snapshot), Case Study, First Person, Photo and Caption, Before and After. Short simple video products highlighting successful activities/approaches/initiatives should also be developed.
∎ Design and develop communications materials.
∎ Assist with the development of project presentations.
∎ Assist CAS with the development of materials for workshops, conferences.
∎ Assist CAS with internal communications and record-keeping.
∎ Ensure proper cataloguing of project photographs and video clips.
∎ Maintain records of all Protibesh activities featured in the media (implemented either directly by Protibesh or by partners).
∎ Monitor media coverage.
∎ Assist CAS with various text development, formatting, editing photographs, and writing captions for textboxes.
∎ Assist CAS with translations of project documents from Bangla to English and vice versa. Provide interpretation assistance at Protibesh meetings or events.
∎ Travel to project sites and compile information for communications products.

Additional Requirements:
∎ The Publications Specialist shall have the following qualifications:
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, awareness, and outreach.
∎ Excellent presentation skills.
∎ Experience in Bangla and English text development and communication materials and tools.
∎ Fluent in English.
