Job Responsibilities:
∎ The post holder is responsible for implementation of site protection activities in Rohingya Crisis Response and is expected to work with initiative and innovation, using their own judgement to recommend high level protection related decisions for the organization in consultation with the Project Manager and humanitarian colleagues.
∎ Assess and analyze key issues in humanitarian situations and formulate actions to respond to them.
∎ Analyses and exercises judgement in challenging situations in the absence of specific guidance.
∎ 1) Implementation of the project's activities:
∎ Implement all protection activities as outlined in the project proposal.
∎ Support and guide the subordinate staff in developing SGBV referral mechanism, capacity building of Watch Group, communicate with protection sector lead, coordinate with other stakeholders present on site.
∎ Work with community-based structures to identify protection problems that cannot be resolved at community level or by existing services and assist community to come to solutions
∎ Liaise closely with protection actors in the field and other humanitarian partners to ensure an understanding of the overall issues.
∎ Provide technical support to ensure program quality, inclusive of regular technical monitoring of case management and PSS services under the program
∎ Regularly attend protection cluster meetings at appropriate levels to feed in ADRA priorities on the field.
∎ Carry out regular monitoring visits, focus group discussions, participatory assessments, key informant interviews in accordance with ADRA's information collection and management plans and standards, ensuring appropriate treatment of sensitive information.
∎ Assess individual protection issues captured or identified during daily activities and make appropriate referrals for services to humanitarian or other actors as per the referral pathway or best practices.
∎ Identify cases in need of urgent response and directly follow-up/accompany affected individuals to services providers when needed to ensure access to services.
∎ Ensure compliance with all donor, government, and ADRA regulations/contractual requirements in the implementation of programs.
∎ 2) Liaise, consult & build strong relationships and win confidence of relevant stakeholders including, but not limited to, communities, Government departments at both the local and provincial levels and other NGO's.
∎ 3) Provide guidance and opportunity for Safe Space Officers/Assistants and volunteers to develop and maintain professional capacity and currency within their assigned fields of responsibilities and expertise.
∎ 4) Provide professional guidance and direction to any project staff and volunteers in all phases of their work regarding implementation and monitoring.
∎ 5) Participate and assist with the performance appraisal of all protection staff (where applicable)
∎ 6) Represent ADRA with networking and participation in various Government, Donor and NGO forums.
∎ 7) Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Minimum three years' experience within a related field and demonstrated people management experience.
∎ Working with International NGO is highly preferred
∎ Commitment to ADRA's mission, beliefs and core values.
∎ Professional fluency in English - both written and verbal.
∎ Fluency in Bangla.
∎ Finance and Budget management skills.
∎ Knowledge of technical elements of community development and project design.
∎ Able to undertake travel as required.
∎ Police clearance certificates.
∎ Current passport or the ability to apply for one.
∎ Driver's License.
