Experience:
At least Bachelor degree or Masters in Agriculture, Social Science or Business Administration or in relevant discipline.
Strong technical knowledge of agriculture and livelihood.
Proven experience in organizing and facilitating training programs.
Expertise in climate-resilient agriculture and nutrition-sensitive farming.
Excellent communication and networking skills.
Strong documentation and report-writing abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Minimum 5 years of experience
Proven experience in program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management, staff management, and report writing.
Experience in working with government departments
Experience in delivering training for a variety of state and non-state actor audiences (local NGOs, government authorities, etc.)
Skills
Strong decisions making ability and motivational skill especially with rural communities
Strong management skills including the ability to provide strategic guidance, technical oversight, mentor staff, build strong teams, develop work plans, and manage budgets and project expenditures
Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer skills

Job Context
Uttaran is a national development organization working in the coastal region of Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged. Uttaran facilitates in getting access to and control over resources by the poor and disadvantaged to improve agricultural productivity and economic empowerment.
Uttaran with the help of HELVETAS Swiss Interco operation Bangladesh will collaborate to implement the Actions to Climate Change Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) programme in the southwestern region of Bangladesh. This partnership aims to enhance capacities in adaptation, disaster risk management, climate-induced migration, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), livelihood, soil, and food security through mutual capacity strengthening programs and knowledge-sharing activities. Together, they will explore, pilot, and disseminate innovative technologies and methodologies while engaging in advocacy efforts to promote their adoption.
Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Project Officer Livelihood and Agriculture for the Actions to Climate Change Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) programme
Reports to: Project operation manager, Uttaran
Job Responsibilities
Agriculture and Livelihood Activities:
Organize and facilitate agriculture and livelihood-related training and workshops for beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
Establish and manage agriculture demonstration, farms, community gardens, and other initiatives.
Provide technical guidance for climate-resilient agriculture
Technical support gives for increase livelihood.
Identify and analyse appropriate agriculture technologies suitable for local contexts.
Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing:
Develop issue-based and appropriate training modules related to agriculture and agriculture marketing.
Conduct capacity and skill-building training sessions for Women’s and Farmers
Enhance the capacity of youth and women in advocacy and agroecology.
Promote gender-sensitive working environments within teams and the organization.
Organize workshops, training sessions, and study visits for staff members.
Community engagement and Networking:
Establish linkages between local producers and input suppliers (seeds, fertilizers, etc.).
Build connections between urban producers and local agricultural offices.
Maintain strong communication and networking with government and non-government stakeholders to ensure support for agriculture and livelihood.
Facilitate market linkages for producers and ensure sustainable marketing solutions.
• Coordinate with government and non-government organizations to ensure the effective delivery of project services.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Prepare monthly MIS reports documenting project activities and achievements.
Support technical, research, knowledge management, and M&E departments in implementing effective agricultural and livelihood interventions.
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual operational plans and progress reports.
Admin Roles and Responsibilities:
Abide by the staff’s management policy and accounts management policy of the organization.
Submission of weekly/monthly activity plan and report.
Maintain and fulfill properly movement register for field visit
Fulfill and maintain leave form properly
Maintain tour forms properly and submission after tour with the voucher
Preservation of organizational files and resources
Preparation for conducting additional responsibility for the requirement of the organization
Avoid conspiracy, indecent words, and negative views to higher authority and finally show the faith to the organization
Consolidated and unite for the organization
Job Location: Bagerhat, Satkhira and Khulna district
Salary: 42,000 bdt per month (with bonus, gratuity, PF and others)
