Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Officer will be responsible for facilitating the direct implementation of project activities through local level implementing organizations, providing support and motivate their staffs, ensuring that they deliver high quality activities with the maximum impact on children.
∎ S/he will be also responsible for implementing of DRR and EIE activities to ensure quality as well as monitoring and reporting on project activities.
∎ Responsibility includes, s/he will play a key role in triangulating the monitoring, narrative and financial reports of the partners and provide support to the line manager in developing reports and facilitating timely implementation of project interventions.
∎ S/he will also organize and facilitate capacity building workshops/training for government, communities, School Management Committee members, partners on issues related to education, disaster risk reduction etc.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years working experience with NGOs or other development organizations, preferably in education
∎ Experience in working in partnership with government and non-government organizations
∎ Experience in designing and working with impact-focused monitoring frameworks
∎ Practical and extensive experience in training and facilitating meetings at various levels
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
∎ Ability and willingness to travel widely in program areas
∎ Ability to produce high quality reports, case studies
∎ Proficiency on standard office computer software
