∎ Project Background/Profile:
∎ Under the CEPPS Nagorik program, The Hunger Project (THP) as a subgrantee of IFES will conduct the activities in support of the listed program objectives agreed upon by USAID and CEPPS. This will be implemented in 22 Upazilas of 4 Districts in Bangladesh. The objectives of the intervention are:
∎ Enhance voter participation and multi-party engagement in the upcoming national elections.
∎ Promote non-violent electoral participation among citizens and political parties at the local and national levels
∎ The hypothesis underlying these intervention is that better quality and more effective community empowerment will result from capacity building and motivational interventions that combine efforts of the political leaders and politically active citizens to forge an effective network. Such a network, catalyzed by the persons trained under the PAVE training program, is intended to implement advocacy initiatives and take action to mobilize people for peace-building in their communities.
∎ Position Profile: This is a 30 months long project to be started from January 2022. This is a managerial position responsible for overall project implementation includes program implementation, staff management, finance and admin. Under the guidance of the Program Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for overall planning, coordinating, communication with different stakeholders, and implementing the activities according to the project proposal.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Manager will be responsible for overall planning, coordinating and implementing the project activities according to project proposal, agreement with donor and within budget allocation of the project.
∎ Monitor upcoming national elections and aware the voters so that they can informed decision.
∎ Strictly look after the financial management of the project.
∎ Arrange and facilitate training for upzila level multi-partis political leaders, civil society members on PAVE, Peace building, social harmony and follow up meeting with trained PFG members.
∎ Develop the Network of the Trained PFG members
∎ Arrange roundtable discussion meetings, election caravan, democracy/election Olympiad, social media campaign etc.
∎ Lead, supervise and monitor the project staffs/team.
∎ Provide necessary support to training team to design and develop training and workshop material/module.
∎ Manage the day to day operations of project by facilitating professional work process to ensure alignment with the established policies & procedures and in order to high performance standards.
∎ Keeps an accurate record and electronic data base of all elements of the projects.
∎ Develop an implementation plans for project teams and provide clear direction and ensure that staff knows what is expected to them.
∎ Ensure the projects procedures, the required deliverables, the required standard of quality within the specified constraints of time and cost.
∎ Develop and design Advocacy/BCC materials.
∎ Maintain close relationship with local political leaders, member of the civil society, and others stakeholders of the project to ensure their support to achieve the project goal.
∎ Liaison with donor as and when requires, represents the organisation and prepare monthly, quarterly narrative reports as per requirement of donor's of the project.
∎ Work closely with M&E Specialist to develop and implement M & E tools.
∎ Continuously review information and learning from field visit in order to advise the Program Director for strengthen project management.
∎ Develop clear guidelines, tools, capacity building modules to support project implementation.
∎ Any other work required by Project management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ A least 12 years experiences in the related field including 5 years in senior management position with responsibility of project proposal and report writing, resource mobilization, staff supervision and providing strategic leadership.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Sound knowledge and clear understanding in political scenario and electoral process of Bangladesh, good governance, democracy, human rights and social issues.
∎ Experiences of running big social projects independently or with minimum supervision.
∎ Good connection with political parties, local political leaders, members of the civil society and social activists.
∎ Clear knowledge on project management, project cycle and result based management.
∎ Excellent team player and building relationship.
∎ Exceptional transformative leadership skills for building leadership of others.
∎ Sound knowledge of development concepts especially local government and women's empowerment.
∎ Excellent skills in Microsoft ward, Excels, Power points and presentation.
∎ Excellent command over in English both verbal and written is necessary.
