Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Stichting Land Ontwikkelings Project Bangladesh (in short SLOPB Bangladesh) is a nongovernment organization working in the coastal belt of Bangladesh since 1995 with greater passion and enthusiasm for sustainable development of the community living in the coastal area of Bangladesh. Currently SLOPB invites applications from qualified and experienced person in the position of Project Manager for the Simavi funded Wash SDG Consortium Project that is being implemented in Barguna district in Barishal division.
∎ Job Location: Barguna district under Barishal division.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Programmatic:
∎ Implement the project activities according to the ToC (Theory of Change) and plan of activities of the project.
∎ Prepare training module, schedule, and conduct training as per plan and budget.
∎ Convene and facilitate trainings, orientations, meetings, and discussions.
∎ Maintain liaison with GOs (DC, Mayor, UNO, UP) NGO representatives and other concerned duty bearers and different stakeholders.
∎ Provide capacity building training to community people, youth volunteers and different stakeholders on Wash & DRR.
∎ Maintain close communication with DPHE, Municipality, Union Parishad, UDMC, UzDMC, Civil Society, Local Entrepreneurs etc. for resource mobilization and bridge linkage with different service providing institutions for Wash, Hygiene and Sanitation development of the vulnerable people.
∎ Develop project related materials that are culturally appropriate for literacy at all level of intended audience.
∎ Organize Public Hearing with local level policy makers for ensuring better services.
∎ Prepare written reports, case studies, minutes, and other project-related correspondence for internal and external distribution.
∎ Monitor project outcomes and prepare leverage of the project outcomes.
∎ Generate and present reports using standard formats and graphical summaries as required to present the project to external stakeholders.
∎ Maintain regular communication with Country Coordinator, Simavi Netherlands, MEL Officer Simavi, Consortium Partners, WAI Partners, Executive Director and Program Director of SLOPB Bangladesh to review activities.
∎ Prepare reports as desired by the project.
∎ Administrative :
∎ Supervise the team and play the managerial responsibilities to accomplish the result of the project.
∎ Support management for staff recruitment, staff appraisal, and procurement and play the role as ambassador.
∎ Ensure to establish internal control and to build staff capacity to implement project activities smoothly.
∎ Ready to perform any assignment relating to the project
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum 5 years working experience in governance project focusing on WASH Hygiene and Sanitation.
∎ High level of IT skills especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Illustrator, SPSS, Microsoft Access etc.
∎ Excellent skill in writing and oral communication in English and Bengali.
∎ Inter personal communication skill is must.
∎ Experience in liaison and networking with regional level GoB and NGOs.
∎ Excellent knowledge on WASH, Hygiene & Sanitation related Policies and Acts, Disaster Management Act, SOD, Union Parishad Act, RTI Act.
∎ Experience in Governance Monitoring Tools.
∎ Working experience under the funding agencies - UNDP, WB, DFID, etc. will be given special priority.
Salary:
∎ TK. 36,900 (with other benefit as per budgetary provision).
