Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone's basic needs and rights. SKUS has, since the 2017 Rohingya refugee influx, worked in Cox's Bazar district with children and adolescents. SKUS works to provide access to learning opportunities in a safe and protective environment, offer quality teaching/learning and increase refugee/host community participation and engagement in children's education. Based on children’s and adolescents’ rights, SKUS has established quality learning and protection centers with support from different international donors, including UN agencies. SKUS has an agreement with UN WOMEN for the Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) project for Rohingya and host communities at Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazila under Cox's Bazar District. This project aims to strengthen the leadership, participation, and protection of marginalized Rohingya and host community women in Cox’s Bazar who face vulnerabilities due to climate-induced disasters, climate-related conflict, displacement, and systemic gender inequalities.
Purpose of the job:
Project Manager is responsible for leading the overall project activities. She will lead the project team working in the Rohingya refugee camp and host community in Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazila of Cox's Bazar district, maintaining close collaboration with respective Project staff through planning, implementing, and managing the delivery as per the project's requirements. She will also work closely with other component team members of the project, other project teams, stakeholders, relevant government officials, private sector, non-government, and civil society organizations as per the project requirement.
Description of the Work Assignment
The main tasks & Responsibilities of the Project Manager are but are not limited to
Lead and coordinate the project through maintaining project cycle management for achieving the project's goal, outcome, actions/activities and expected results which are specified in the project proposal.
Facilitate the development of the Project Implementation Plan/guideline (PIP/G) and overall responsibility for the leadership of the implementation of the project, day-to-day management, coordination and oversight of the project implementation
Ensure that the project is appropriately staffed, including the appropriate combination of expertise across technical areas like climate-resilient livelihood and skills development opportunities, combined with post-training support and market engagement, building on which the project will build the capacities of women in leadership
Ensure timely, effective implementation and delivery of project activities as per the project work plan by ensuring quality and setting strategies and guidelines.
Develop project plan & budget, program & training guidelines and project reports and arrange different types of training/meetings/workshops/advocacy with relevant key stakeholders as per project design
Ensure proper and smooth financial management in the project in compliance with Co-implementing partner, UN WOMEN, donor and SKUS policies and standards.
Monitoring the project funds are spending correctly and as per the work plan and ensuring Inventory management.
Supervise, monitor and evaluate the project work and performance of staff and take concrete steps to improve job performance
Identify the development areas of individual staff, organise formal/on-the-job training, and orientation for Capacity building of the staff
Ensure training follow-up, feedback, learning & reflection sessions, and also adapt other tools and techniques for developing staff capacity.
Provide positive feedback on staff performance and project activities when appropriate.
Maintain effective communication, coordination and collaboration with GoB/NGOs officials like DC/UNO office, CiC/RRRC and others
Participate in the different meetings, training, and workshops organized by GoB, UN agencies, I/NGOs and other stakeholders
Ensure that the project's M&E system is in place and that activity reviews take place at regular intervals to ensure the quality of the interventions and follow the project's implementation plans.
Summary of Key Functions:
Project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of interventions within the targeted area.
Ensure effective coordination with different stakeholders, including donors, local administration, camp management, and local government, for the project activities at the field level.
Ensure that program activities are done in a manner so that result-based outputs are achieved.
Support team members for the successful execution of different activities at the field level of the project.
Provide consistent and reliable data available for reporting and decision-making.

Working Condition:
The Project Manager is based at the Project Office in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar district.
Will spend approximately 50% of her time in the field.
May have contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals.
Will have to work to ensure a conducive participatory approach in the center.
