Introduction
DASCOH Foundation is a non-government and non-profitable organization. Utilizing local knowledge of the people at grass root and available resources at local level, DASCOH has put forward an alternative participatory development process. It has developed a professional workforce with flexible decision-making capacity. DASCOH is using supportive supervision & coaching method to develop human capital and thus helping to develop the capacity of local government institutions, which is reflected in the project planning and management with local government, private sector, donors and the community. Currently, it operates several projects, covering the thematic areas of health, climate adaptation, human rights, quality education, livelihood improvement, etc. mainly covering Rajshahi division but all over the country. Several projects are ongoing in the thematic areas and information technology support are required for innovation, monitoring, analysis and showcasing good practices and achievements.

Purpose of the position
This position is mainly responsible of ensuring the proper implementation at Upazila level in achieving the project results according to set objectives; documents of the achievement and reporting. Advocacy Facilitator of “Strengthening the economic, social and political participation of multiply marginalised women in climate hotspots of Bangladesh and India (AGROJATRA)” project is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the project activities related to climate and livelihood advocacy issues and capacity building of the stakeholders at her/his assigned area, assist and coordinate with the Field Facilitator’s in proper selection of livelihood beneficiaries and formation of CSO especially at Upazila and Union level, assists in distribution of productive assets among the beneficiaries according to FDP/BDP, find out the climate related advocacy issues and negotiate with GoB service provider at Upazila level, organizing the capacity building events for the climate vulnerable beneficiaries’ coordination with FF’s. student engagement for climate awareness and girls’ rights, effectively assist the community in obtaining various SSN supports for all eligible program participants, including their family members and surrounding individuals. S/he is also responsible for reporting of her/his assigned Upazila.
Objective of the mandate:
The objectives of the project execution mandates are;
Ensure objective (result) oriented program implementation at assigned Upazila.
Coordinate and assist in organizing the capacity building and public events at Upazila level on climate and economic resilience.
Develop advocacy materials and properly conduct advocacy on climate change issues.
Support CSO members in access to information using Rights Information Acts (RTI).
Factual reporting.
Functions:
In more concrete terms this mandate includes;
Directly involved in formation of Union level CSO and ensure functionality through organise regular meeting and records.
Adopting Non-Violent Communication (NVC) in all interactions, including with colleagues, program participants and stakeholders.
Fostering peaceful workplaces that nurture cooperation and emotional safety.
Organise dialogue on climate issues in between the Public Authorities and the CSO members.
Establish effective communication with government agencies.
Assist stakeholder in access to information and mobilise them to get information according to the RTI Act.
Organize meetings between women-Led CSOs and husbands at village level.
Organize and facilitate thematic exchange meetings of women-led CSO’s at community level (Union CSO meeting).
Organize training applying conflict-sensitive methods and strategic advocacy in democratic dialogue.
Organize training on digital competency for accessing SSN services.
Organize thematic dialogue meetings at local and regional levels.
Organize dialogue between civil society and health service providers.
Assist program participants to submit and follow up of RTI applications.
Prepare record/report of every event and submit to the supervisor timely.
Assist in obtaining emergency support for disasters from government or NGOs.
Assist the field facilitator in organizing and conducting events as needed.
Output:
The project implemented according to the objective.
Ensure advocacy on climate issues and released the climate impact.
Implementation of RTI ensured.
Union and Upazila CSO become functional.
Capacity of CSO member enhanced.
Factual periodic reports are available.
Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Travel Allowance will be entitled as per organizational policy.
2.25 festival bonus
Working Time: Sunday to Thursday; 40 hours in a week; (08:30 am to 05:00 pm with half an hour lunch and prayer break)
