Job Context:
∎ NOWZUWAN, a non-profit, non-governmental local Bangladeshi organization founded in Chittagong, with the purpose of serving, supporting, and motivating the surrounding community of under-privileged Children, Adolescents, women and poverty-stricken people in Bangladesh. NOWZUWAN aims to provide sustainable change combating injustice and illiteracy by challenging structural underpinning of underdevelopment.
∎ Since couple of years, NOWZUWAN has been successfully implementing different projects on skill building, education and Livelihood security in Rohningya refugee response and the host community with the financial support of different donors at Ukhiya and Teknaf upazila under Coxs bazar district.
∎ NOWZUWAN invites applications for the Project Manager Position.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Specific roles and responsibilities are as follows:
∎ Responsible for overall project planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision
∎ Coordinate with different government bodies (RRRC, CiC, SMS, DC, UNO), sector(s), UN agencies and relevant stakeholders at district, upazilla and camp level.
∎ Contribute to programme/ project design, implementation, learning and M&E through active collaboration with all team members.
∎ Support to develop the contextual project and fundraising
∎ Provide technical support to the distribution and program team to ensure a high standard of implementation of strategy and activities.
∎ Ensure designs are implemented as planned and implement Skill Development related program in community and institutions.
∎ Perform technical assessments and support to households on facilities site selection and construction.
∎ Ensure that staff understand their individual and collective responsibilities for safety and wellbeing.
∎ Ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with signatory codes of conduct and accepted good practice and seek guidance from Team lead where unclear of current best practice.
∎ Work with the other partners to further improve the coordination and keep the meeting minutes recorded and filed.
∎ Establish networking with communities and ensure their participation in the project design and implementation is well maintained.
∎ Ensure all the achievement information/data are consistence with the work plan.
∎ Archive and back up all the information related to the project and keep them accessible while away.
∎ Ensure all the assessment, survey, M&E sessions are conducted properly
∎ Keep track on budget and expenditure of the project and conduct periodical budget variance analysis
∎ Share the technical Plans and tasks with the specific support unit to ensure the project harmony and be the only responsible for the work quality.
∎ Develop and maintain effective filing system for storing project documentation and records and project monitoring systems Logistics / Technical Support.
∎ Prepare monthly achievements narrative report to emergency response manager and Donors.
∎ Prepare reports for donors, government, sectors and internal stakeholders on regular basis
∎ Prepare technical specification, SOP/ Guidelines, QA guideline and quality reporting as per the report agreements.
∎ Ensure compliance of donor's rules and regulations and guide the project staff accordingly
∎ Document the best practices and share with concerned stakeholders for replication to other sites/areas
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation.
∎ Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Ensure that compliance, feedback and response mechanism (CFRM) are in place so that projects are accountable to beneficiaries and deliver quality services

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 55 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 6 years (03 years in emergency response)
∎ Demonstrated experience and capacity as Project Manager/ Coordinator for at least 6 years in reputed development NGOs/ INGOs
∎ Excellent team management and leadership skills.
∎ Good knowledge of the latest theories, technology and practices in: Food & Non-Food Items, Distribution, Hygiene Education and Livelihood.
∎ Excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to handle pressure and improve.
∎ Strong physical ability to make field work in harsh camp conditions
∎ Excellent communication skills in both English and Bengali
∎ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint, Gender awareness and a commitment to gender equality
∎ Teamwork and team building capacity.

Salary:
∎ (50,000 - 75,000 BDT/month) Depends on skill and experience.
