∎ Helvetas Bangladesh is looking for a qualified and experienced Project Director for Dhaka-based program office with regular travel to the field. This is a key strategic position to lead the overall project management through high quality project implementation, including administrative and financial supervision in collaboration with agro-processing companies to ensure project outcomes on skill development, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and job placement.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide programmatic advice and steering of the project following the project proposal, intervention logic and approaches and logframe;
∎ Ensure thematically and technically sound implementation of the different intervention lines of the project.
∎ Lead the development and strengthening of the monitoring and results measurement (MRM) system of the project, as well as knowledge management for steering, accountability, and learning.
∎ Ensure the programmatic complies with organisational administrative requirements and procedures including time registration, reporting and controlling needs, preparation of financial statements with project partners and other relevant requirements for a successful project implementation.
∎ Maintain strong collaboration with public and private sector in skill development, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and job placement activity.
∎ Lead strong communication, collaboration with donor for reporting, financial management and to ensure smooth operation of the project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 12 years' experience in project management and with the private sector (agro-processing industry) to ensure skill development, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and job placement.
∎ Mast have experience with USG- or USAID-funded activities or other internationally funded activities.
∎ In-depth knowledge and understanding on skill development framework and related job sectors in Bangladesh.
∎ Strong analytical, facilitation and team building skills.
∎ Track record in collaboration with leading public and private sector in implementation and decent job placement activity.
∎ Demonstrated high-level technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
∎ Fluent in English both written and spoken, should be able to demonstrate his/her ability to translate complicated ideas into language easily understood by others.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 230000 - 250000 (Monthly)
∎ We offer you
The initial employment contract would be for 36 months which will include annual performance appraisal and renew of employment contract on annual basis. The monthly salary range for this position is between BDT.230,000/- to BDT. 250,000/- including all benefits (PF, Gratuity, Festival Bonus, Insurance and others as per HR policy) depending on the total length of experience in related skill development activity. The duration of contract is extendable based on fund availability and individual performance of the staff.
