Job Context:
∎ Safety and Rights Society (SRS) is a Dhaka based national NGO working for promotion of human rights and social justice since 2009. SRS is inviting applications from young and energetic professionals having passion for social change to lead and facilitate a project that advocates for participatory planning and decentralized budgeting process. The project is awarded by The Asia Foundation to enhance the capacity of civil society and grassroots budget campaigners on the said issues. ∎ Project Title: Strengthening Citizens` Initiative for Participatory Budget (CI4PB)
∎ Reporting: The PC will report to the Executive Director cum Team Leader.
∎ Direct Reportees: Advocacy Officer and Finance & Admin Officer of CI4PB project. S/he will also work closely with peer colleagues, national and district level civil society leaders and relevant partner organizations.
∎ Commitment: 15 months

Additional Requirements:
∎ Professionally trained in project management, advocacy, governance, campaigning, economic justice, human rights, civic space, participatory planning, inclusive development etc.
∎ At least 5 years' experience in the field of social development with minimum 2 years proven track record of managing donor funded project(s) in the settings of NGO/ think tank/ professional body.
∎ Track record of capacity building and managing non-conventional partners (like community based organizations, youth campaigners, trade unions, non-registered civil society organizations etc.)
∎ Experience in networking with professional bodies, academia, media, NGOs and platforms.
∎ Experiences around policy advocacy with the government ministries, parliamentarians and relevant policy actors.
∎ Skills around quality report writing in English and Bangla, verbal and electronic communications with donor, media, government and others.
∎ Understanding on program quality, financial and policy compliance, project governance and accountability.
∎ Understanding on governance and socio-economic context of Bangladesh.
∎ Familiar with policy actors, key civil society stakeholders including social movement, networks, NGOs, academia, media and businesses.
∎ Motivated, dynamic, able and willing to take initiatives, learn and to develop professionally
∎ A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and humanitarian values
∎ Languages: Written and spoken fluency in English

Salary:
∎ BDT 45K to 55K per month (consolidated) along with festival allowance, health and associated benefits as per HR policy of SRS.Competitive salary to be provided to high deserving candidates.
