Job Context:
∎ RDRS Bangladesh, a reputed national NGO is inviting eligible and deserving candidates to apply for the position of Project Coordinator to create a panel to fulfill the present requirement and for future employment. Interested candidates are requested to apply for the position. The applicant has experience and expertise on any of the following issues:
∎ Agriculture, Human rights, Health, Nutrition, Food Security, Livelihoods development, Youth empowerment, Employment generation, Women and Children, Adolescent, Income generation, Value Chain etc.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position will be the key person of project deliverable on the ground for successful implementation of the project activities in the project working area;
∎ The position will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and implementing all the activities related to the project in line with the results. Achievement of the project's outputs as measured by the log frame indicators.
∎ Responsible for the management of project inputs including staff, financial resources and equipment.
∎ Lead the team and guide them in finding out the solutions to overcome prevailing constraints and challenges;
∎ Prepare and review the operational plan periodically for smooth implementation with quality output;
∎ Coordination with government, local government counterparts, donors, NGOs and other related departments.
∎ Maintain necessary liaison with donor and government line agencies in connection with project activities, information sharing and field implementation;
∎ Coordinate and plan field visits for important visitors including donor representatives and organize briefing for and sharing feedback from them;
∎ Ensure better coordination with RDRS management and Partners
∎ Regular and frequent field visit to find out possibilities, identify problems, assess and follow-up activities being implemented and provide appropriate suggestion to field staffs;
∎ Maintain day-to-day management for ensuring the staff members to abide by the rules and regulations of the organization;
∎ Capacity building of community and project staff to achieve project outputs.
∎ Ensure that project activities are implemented according to established principles with adequate community participation;
∎ Provide professional and technical support to project staffs and other stakeholders of project;
∎ Initiate and ensure technical and management support ineffective planning and proper implementation of the project activities, advocacy, awareness-raising, networking, civic engagement, governance, etc.;
∎ Provide adequate direction and support to different offices of the respective projects;
∎ Prepare quarterly and annual narrative report, financial report and variance report;
∎ Manage resources, prepare and oversee budgets, procurement plan and provide audit responses;
∎ Monitor and evaluate project progress to reach the target within the life of the project;
∎ Monitor program components at field along with training, workshop, meetings at different level and provide feedback;
∎ Organize performance appraisal of staff as per their job description and design necessary action plan for staff development and implement it accordingly;
∎ Plan and conduct orientation for staff on new and critical issues and provide technical guidance to staff on a regular basis;
∎ Take necessary steps to maintain congenial and sound working environment as per the policy and guideline.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 - 7 years experience to work in any reputed NGO of which 3 - 5 years in Project Management;
∎ Knowledge in overall program designing, implementation, planning including staff management and development, financial management, budget preparation, donor reporting, preparing training modules, designing and conducting training, workshop/seminars and experience in monitoring and reporting.
∎ Sound knowledge on development issues and approaches, laws and policies related to development issues, Governance, Advocacy, Community Mobilization, etc.;
∎ Have good understanding and knowledge on Agriculture/ Education/ Civil empowerment/ Nutrition/ Food security/ livelihoods/ Health related issues/ Gender/ Youth empowerment/ Employment generation/ Training and Vocational Education/ Women and Children etc;
∎ Capable to prepare narrative and numerical reports;
∎ Fluency in English and Bengali language (spoken and written);
∎ Proven analytical ability;
∎ Have understanding on budget and budgetary control, compliance issues
∎ Documentation skills;
∎ Proven leadership quality;
∎ Experienced in managing different projects, procurement, reporting, finance, visibility and external audits.
∎ Experienced to work with local Government Institutions, CBOs, Educational Institutions, Professional Groups, Folk-song and Cultural groups, Religious and Social leaders, Media and other Social pressure groups will be an added advantage;
∎ Have good understanding on project management cycle/ log frame/ theory of change/ KPI;

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
