Job Context:
∎ Network on Climate Change Bangladesh (NCCB) has been establihed in 2005. It`s a vibrant advocacy platform consistent in enhancing the voices climate vulnerable people to the policy stakeholders at local, national and global levels. Network is seeking application from the appropriate and qualified candidate who has the nationality of Bangladesh and has willingness to work as a climate activist.
∎ Project Name: `Advocacy to Enhance Governance for the Climate Vulnerable People in Bangladesh (Phase 2)`
∎ Announcement for the position of "Project Coordinator/ Network Coordinator"
∎ Job Nature: Contractual, Up to project duration
∎ Project Duration: Till December 2021
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead and coordinate implementation research, policy advocacy and networking activities as required by the project
∎ Supervise project staff and ensure in-time implementation of project activities with tangible outputs and outcomes
∎ Organize seminar, workshops to influence policy stakeholders around the advocacy issues for climate justice
∎ Organize and conduct training for the relevant stakeholders
∎ Develop a quarterly technical and financial report on the implementation of project activities
∎ Coordinate with the Finance & Administration department for budget forecast and day to day activities, management and reporting as & when required.
∎ Have knowledge multiyear budget preparation considering planning & implementation phase, cost-effective operation of project activities following set guidelines.
∎ Have the ability to coordinate progress, process and output monitoring and ensure follow on actions basis on the monitoring findings and keep update the HO management accordingly.
∎ Have experience in performance review/appraisal of all staff in relation to responsibilities following organizational HR policy and staff development timely and appropriately.
∎ Lead the project implementation process and ensure proper documentation.
∎ Ensure required reporting to Donor and Administrative Organization in a timely manner.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 07 years progressively professional background in policy advocacy, networking and capacity building activities and project management
∎ Willingness to travel all over Bangladesh whenever required
∎ Have good leadership capacity to ensure timely and quality implementation
∎ Have efficiency and knowledge on-field problems and necessary action to resolve them.
∎ Have experience on liaison with multi-dimensional stakeholders.
∎ Excellent computer operation skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email and internet browsing
∎ Good interpersonal skills have demonstrated proactive roles in teamwork, excellent report writing skill and speaking skill on English to deal with foreign donors.
∎ Able to cope with stress and work under difficult circumstances
∎ Have to be gender-sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues
Salary:
∎ Monthly salary BDT 80,000 (gross) with two festival bonus and annual salary increment as per policy.
