Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc)
∎ Bachelor and Masters in Climate Change, Geography, Disaster Management, Marine Sciences, Environmental Science and Development Studies with 4-5 years of progressive professional experience in research, advocacy and capacity-building-related activities. Candidates having good writing skills with academic publications will be given preference.
∎ (Internship and affiliation with academic research activities shall not be counted as professional experiences)
∎ Skills Required: GIS, MS Office, SPSS

∎ At least 4 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Advocacy, Climate Change, Disaster Management, Research and Analysis, Social research
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate and implement research activities as required by the organization
∎ Lead and guide Research Officers, Research Assistants and Interns in implementing research and other project activities
∎ Develop quarterly technical and financial reports on project's implementation
∎ Organize seminars, workshops for disseminating research findings
∎ Organize and conduct training for NGOs, CSOs, Govt, and other stakeholders
∎ Organize advocacy events for policy influencing
∎ Develop and build strong external networks within Bangladesh and abroad
∎ Assist in developing new project ideas, and designing new project proposals to mobilize funding both from national and international sources.
∎ Supporting admin and account staff to prepare budget and legal documents for NGOAB approval
∎ Maintaining effective communication with partners.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 40 years
∎ Clear theoretical understanding on climate change, disaster risk reduction, resilience building etc. and respective national as well as global plans and frameworks
∎ Proven Experience in implementing field-based research/studies using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
∎ Experience in project implementation in climate risk-exposed areas like char, coastal and haor and barind areas.
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills
∎ Ability to prepare high-quality reports and present study findings to a wide range of stakeholders.
∎ Ability to represent the organization at various levels
∎ Ability to communicate independently with Donors or Senior Govt, Officials
∎ Sound knowledge of computer application (MS word, spreadsheet, power point, SPSS, GIS etc)
Salary: Tk. 62640 (Monthly)
